Found school shoes :j:
Had to stand my ground against the NHS today - consultant who I see has always been very accommodating, attentive and cheerful........ today he was anything butBack i his clinic for recurring sinus problem - had surgery about 12 months ago. He is telling me there is nothing wrong and I am refusing to leave until he books some 'further investigation' because clearly there is:mad: I suppose it didnt help that the nurse dropped a very expensive piece of kit and broke it ( "thats about 5k" was his only comment!) Anyway I have 6-8 weeks to wait for a CT scan as its deemed not urgent - I am happy with that as I will be ringing the scan dept on Friday and booking my own appointment..........worked in the past;)
More expense on the horizon....DD2 needs vaccinations for travelling abroad with school next year.........about £400 worth:eek: Better get Eb*ying at weekend:DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

wow! Igamogam! where is your daughter going for all that? the deepest recesses of the amazon rainforest?!!!
I hope you get everything sorted out and get a faster scan by calling direct - 6-8 weeks is a long time if you aren't feeling well
I love your garden - i can see all the tomatoes and vegetables in my head and it makes me a bit 'green' with envy not having a garden here in the city - the nicest food in the world is the food you grow yourself! I will be making your cod wrapped in parma ham - it's on my menu planner for this month! Yay!! but tonight - its all about the freezer food!!
have a great evening

Hmmmmmm. Think that lovely warm start to Autumn may well be over - distinct chill in air tonight and a stiff damp smelling breeze. You certainly feel that winter is just ahead when, walking down the garden path, you are met with a curl of friendly wood smoke. Makes me want to start my repertoire of winter soups and stews! Also means we will be putting the heating on soon I guess which means no more cooking on a camping stove:j:
Envelope idea seems to be working - put out milkman's money last week but he didnt call so that money went back into envelope together with this weeks. In the past I would have just 'pocketed' the money then forgot and be scrabbling around for 2 weeks worth the next weekBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
