Well first day over and it always ends with a very long to do list
However one good thing New Person In Charge has rearranged PPA time which means every 2 weeks I get a Friday at home
Will save about £25 on diesel if nothing else :j

Day 3 of migraine which almost goes away then resurfaces:mad: Just about surviving day at work then coming home straight to bed. Looking forward to weekend but plans scuppered as weather going to be 'orrible.
All bills paid and about £650 to last another 23 days. At least £120 for diesel - hoping for a few Eb*y sales to help stretch it out.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Spent this week a bit of a martyr to a migraine:mad: But have slept so much I have been wide awake since 5am! Planning for work is 'on hold' for a couple of weeks - by order of the New Person in Charge
so that frees up my weekend a bit. Had planned a gardening project but its hissing down here. Off to do my least favourite activity - shopping - in a minute. Have yet to be won over by Ald! or equivalents to do the whole weekly shop - have tried but been disappointing either on quality or lack of availability. Havent totally given up yet though - my very good friend who has, for the first time in her life, is having to tighten the family budget, has become a total convert!
Think gardening project will become a paperwork project in front of a film I haven't watched in agesBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Did the shopping trip. I went to Ald! and bought some fruit and veg - about £30 worth - also some little cubes of cooked ham which I love in omelette with cheese and cant get in T*sco. Then went on to T*sco and bumped inot people I had seen in Ald! ( bit weird!) and spent a further £80 and that was with a list and a plan and only oranges added to the fruit and veg cos Ald! ones I had last time were not very nice.........................need to go back to the drawing board with all this as doing the '2 place shop' puts fuel miles and time on this most hated of activities:think:
So wet and cold here almost tempted to light log burner............got a lot of ID sensitive type paper work to sort so may as well have the heat from itBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Done a bit of a cull of threads I follow on this forum.....and added a couple of new ones:) Some people seem to have disappeared completely and others are just too sad/difficult to read and I really don't want to get drawn in - plenty of others on here can do that.
Unfortunately one or two are no longer ringing true and I swear there is at least one who is researching for a book/script and gathering opinions of story lines because really some of it is beyond belief shall we say..............
Then there are the ones who have 'given up', some that have become a bit 'samey' and one who is frankly bonkers - technical term:)
I have done this before - its nice to get some fresh ideas and follow some new stories as I am still in this mode  I had hoped to get back from holiday with a plan but its all still formulating - whats slowing me down is I am beginning to experience a bit of job satisfaction which has been lacking for a couple of years now and its just thrown me a bit - I know, weird and its taking a bit of getting use to. I am just a teeny bit nervous it may not last:oBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Managed tiny garden project
even got meal plan written down - yes written down think that has been half the problem really.................I rarely, well almost never write things down because I can keep it all in my head:D Well could:rotfl::rotfl: It has only been these last 2 years that I started using a diary for work appts/meetings etc. Although I can write lists, usually of jobs to do so I can cross them off, I have always been able to keep on top of everything else in my head, especially the 'domestic planning' - dont know why. I thought everybody did! I can just 'visualise' it all. Drives my OH mad! I dont even have any electronic versions of diaries calenders etc.........
But I have now conceded that for whatever reason, and maybe age has something to do with it, I need to write more things down....personally I think its because there is more demand on my time and now I actively, consciously think about money/spending in a way 2 years ago I never did...........minor LBM?? I still keep a lot in my head though;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Can so relate to this..
Am waiting for Dumbledore's "Pensieve" to be invented in RL - somewhere to dump the memories that take up too much space in an ageing head.
Until then, comprehensive lists would seem to be the best defence.1 -

I recognise Dumbledore as a character from a series of books I detest! But I do like the idea of a repository for memories taking up too much space...............actually what I would really like from that series of detestable books is the cloak of invisibility;)
Well due to enlightened New Person In Charge my weekend starts here as I now have alternate Fridays to work at home:j Feels really odd at the moment............
The 'written down meal list' has been a revelation this week..we have food left over from last weeks weekly shop:D Also no excuse for OH not to get started on something before I get home;)
Hmmmm £150 to last until payday......going to be tight as determined not to break into the £3k available OD:eek:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Lost my purse yesterday. Nothing in it except 50p and T*sco clubcard..............but I am really upset about the purse. Small square Tula purse that I have had for years - suits me perfectly as I dont carry round 'my life' in it - photos etc:) Will be looking on Eb*Y to see if I can replace as they are bloomin expensive for what they are.
Busy day today - tomorrow first of Autumn storms forecast - lots to do outside. I love meteorological extremes..............I know, weird!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
