I dont go for glam..........what I mean is that I get a decent hair cut about 3 times a year and I am happy to pay a premium for it as it lasts with minor visits in between for a fringe trim. I dont go for expensive 'beauty' products either or fancy this that an the other........I am happy with the way I look BUT.............a few months back,at my last hair cut, I told hairdresser that I was going to a 'special event' ( tomorrow) so would be wanting hair cut a bit sooner than usual and was persuaded to 'have something done' to my hair. I have never had a colour on my hair until today ( not even experimental teenage disaster type colouring!) Now dont panic its all turned out fine, just how I explained I wanted it - "like you cant tell its been done" I know, daft, but I am not committing myself to having to colour my hair every few months so this way is just fine and I do like it.......except the price!! When I first planned this I was told £88 - now I thought that was for the whole lot which is steep but it was in my money plan for this month. Turns out it was £88 on top of the £53 cut and £12.99 for a 'treatment' which I realised too late I had agreed to - I thought I was being told about it as an option to buy in a bottle at the end of the process

Anyway lesson learnt:doh: I like the look but wont be rushing back for a repeat performance;) One good thing ...........I sat in a lovely back massage chair which has cured the stiff shoulder and neck I have had for the last few days:D

Well special occasion done and dusted - an enjoyable but tiring day! Best thing about going to the English capital is coming home....... and that is not being derogatory but we are such hillbillies:rotfl: We may have a 50 mile round trip for the cinema, put up with higher prices at the petrol pump and endure daily road commute of 100 miles, but I wouldn't swap the peace and quiet, deserted beaches on the doorstep, mountains to climb and starry skies for anything else. We need a trip/visit like this every now and then to remind us what we have as sometimes we can get complacent and we count ourselves fortunate that we can live here.................we are definitely country mice:D

Spend today was £34 at vet for Big Cat to have booster - dipped into the pet envelope for that.......now although I didn't have the full amount as I have only been serious about this envelope malarkey for a few weeks I did have £20.80 towards it as I have worked out it cost about £4.80 a week to keep Big Cat and Little Cat on the road - not literally but YKWIM;) - and I haven't been moving the 'food' part of their up keep into the general grocery envelope as I new this bill was coming up.

Well we were off to see a local firework display and got a text en route from friend to say it had been cancelled because of weather :( I love fireworks! there is a display scheduled in The Town on the 5th so maybe we will go along to that.....its free. We did stick to the plan of having fish and chips though..............might be a while before we have them again as I cant say we really enjoyed them and not much change out of £20 for 3 of us!
