You are obviously a lady who thrives on a challenge:D
I hope that the weather is not too wild and windy where you are.
Oh I live on the edge! Christmas is no big deal for us really although I want to have 2 weeks off work and do nothing but catch up with friends and enjoy our little family being together, in relative comfort. I love winter cooking and will enjoy the Christmas dinner and the novelty of having a cooker that has knobs and I can switch off - we took out an old solid fuel Aga in April. I have been cooking on a 2 ring gas camping stove and a combo micro oven ever since:eek: Actually knew hob/oven wont have knobs as its all touch controls - will just have to remember to switch them off when finished:rotfl:
Weather has been very windy but havent really seen the torrential rain they had promised - yet:eek: Did have snow yesterday though:DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

£98 going into the debt busting pot courtesy of some stuff sold at a local NCT sale
most of it stuff I have had lying around for years that I kept once DDs had finished with and have used for work..............just cluttering up the shed and office now. All gone bar a few bits and pieces that can go to Oxf*m on Monday

Have been away for soooooo long, exactly a month looking at the date on my last post:o Dealing with RL in the main. Reading threads on MSE just had to take a back seat. This is what happens when you start major house projects in the depths of a very wet and windy winter and at a time of year when I am silly busy in work and with family:D
Projects are still half finished. But at least the rubble is out of the kitchen:eek: Luckily we no longer get 'sucked in' to the commercial frenzy at this time of year. We do enjoy ourselves, eat nice things and buy gifts for the DDs and put a real decorated tree up...........tree is still waiting to come into the house:p but all food/gifts are either bought or ordered waiting for collection and I have purchased all on line using discount codes, cash back and vouchers from surveys where I can. I would say 90% of food is local and other than a little sojourn on to The Big River site and some other specialist ones I have bought gifts locally made or from F*lksy and Oxf*m this year - fed up of buying from huge chain stores * insert feeling smug smiley*
