Busy day chez moi. Have house to self and not going to squander precious time. Need to update spending diary and sort meals from stores I think - have no idea what is in freezers and cupboards and as its another 2 weeks to pay day I am going to try and use as much as we can and avoid food shopping as much as possible. Last week I went to T8sco for a first 'proper shop' since before Christmas I was horrified to see next to the discounted Christmas carp and chocolate flippin Easter eggs...........I hate shopping:mad:
Also need to do a bit of a financial round up and get my colouring in chart going. January is always a long month as I get paid early for Christmas........does no favours only payroll staff IMHO. So its 6 weeks between pay days and even though I squirrel away the 'extra' cash its a bit of a limp to the finish line in January:o
Also need to get some order back in the homestead - especially kitchen and study. Planning a good sort out KM styleAs much as I would like to make the most of a gloriously sunny snowy day in the mountains and one resolutions this year was to make more of and appreciate what we have on our door step (OH and DD2 left before daylight for a walk/climb) I declined and felt I would have a productive day at home without interruptions as those mountains are not going anywhere soon so I will appreciate them, guilt free, another day:D
Fill the bird feeders and make myself a big jug of coffee to keep me going today and then its just me the radio and carp sorting for a few hours!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Really must do a financial round up soon. There are going to be some changes in my monthly income soon......and not in a good way
manageable but annoying. I am keeping up with my spending diary and keeping well within my £70 a week grocery and everything budget - enjoying having the cash in my hand again and filling up those change pots with the loose rubble. In the run up to Christmas I was using the debit card rather then getting the money from ATM.
Had a run to the vet this week with old puzz cat. He is OK but I am £75 lighter:eek: Luckily there was almost enough in my 'pets purse' to cover it. I put away every moth what it cost to cover vet fees - well flea stuff and boosters for the 2 purr balls, annually . Their food is included in the grocery budget - we have been fortunate that they have always been very low maintenance cats but I have a feeling that now they are getting on a bit there will a more than one trip to the vet each year:o
More de cluttering done for later trip to CS:D And its payday next week:j: why payroll think its convenient to be paid early for Christmas I will never know:mad:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Got some things to see to, which have been hanging over my head before I 'treat' myself to a financial round up. I was using the need to look at finances as an excuse not to deal with the other stuff - procrastinating:rotfl: getting to the end of that distraction now - may have even got it licked by the end of the day - which will give me a bit of head space to look at the money side of things. I do know even though we are mortgage free, we have a difficult year ahead money wise:(
Large bag of books to CSAdding 25 to my tally of decluttered stuff.
OH baking bread.............and I am trying to be low carb:o
Had to dip into 'vet' purse again - second puzz cat poorly now with same thing and has really got it bad - DD2 feeding hourly with syringe as has sore throat and struggling with food and water. Is looking a bit perkier today. Vet appt tomorrow - another £38:(
Completed RSPB garden birdwatch survey - didnt disappoint. Our resident wood pecker made an appearance and shooed off the **@@!! squirrelBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Other 2 members of household have come down with some unexplained lurgy. I have banished them to respective beds as I really cant do with them under my feet. I have a burst of energy today:j possibly due to the lovely sunshine - washing out on line and lots of little jobs done with no interruptions:D sat down half an hour ago with a large coffee to do the financial round up...........:( not as great as I thought. No worse but I thought the debt was going to be lower after a super human effort during 2015 to reduce it with every over payment and little trick known to every MSE member. Disappointed doesnt cut it and I have just realised I have chomped through a whole packet of F*x's Crunch Creams:(:( I know we have had a new car last year and a new CH system and kitchen but all of that has been paid for through savings, endowment maturity or in the case of the car costing less a month than the old car did. No CCs have been touched. We have pared back spending and we have finished the mortgage - what the **@! has gone wrong?*scratches head and goes back to drawing board....................*:mad:

Oh Igamogam. Shoot. Damn and lots of other f*cking swears. Very sorry to hear it's worse than you thought.
Sounds like you do have a lot to show for it though? Those are all large items which add value in many ways, certainly not wasted.
But onwards and upwards. Hit Bay of E and everything else. You know the tricks. Here cheering you on. HT coming up soonMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks Brizz. Just licking my wounds a little. Will have to be a little forensic when I look into why its not as good as I thought. I am having to remind myself we achieved 3 very big money draining projects last year without touching any credit cards............ CC debt has reduced but not by the amount I calculated:huh::huh: Also trying to work out how much I am going to be worse off as due to cut backs an allowance I get will be stopping soon, so that about £100/month down.
