I hope you will all fail miserably on Thursday. The results may be the eye opener each of you need for the grind of the real world.

Lastly, I would wish that anyone getting less than an A grade could be killed to save on the benefits bill.

Sorry Taiko - I have neither the inclination or patience to work out what the hidden message of your post is.

Unfortuantely, Junior is in the weird position of having deferred his place for entry next year so I'm not sure clearing would be of use to him....I'm so confident that things will go pear shaped that I've already contacted UCAS to find out what he can do in those circumstances. At best it might a case of going back and resitting those modules he mucked up and reapplying for normal as next year.

As far as I understand it the UCAS website is up and posting confirmation of confirmation / rejection at 8.00am - although I'm sure that my niece was up at 6.30 am and found out her results then.

Kayr - how did the OCR mess up your son's physics ....that's the same board / subject as Junior.

Oh God Taiko I'm sorry -have just worked out your message.....I must have come across as a right harpie.

Think I will have to go into work tomorrow with a big sign saying I apologise for biting your head off today....am a stressed mummy.

Have even booked Thurday off just in case I'm needed to pick up pieces.

There was a mistake in the paper which he spotted before anyone else and queried with invigilator who didn't take it seriously. Eventually error was confirmed by which time he'd lost a lot of time, impetus and confidence in the accuracy of the rest of the paper. So will have underperformed massively. OCR have said nobody will be disadvantaged but given that many candidates/schools didn't notice the error and some schools gave everyone 10% extra time (against the rules) I don't see how the results can be fair. Hopefully he'll get the necessary A*s in other subjects but Physics was his best chance. If you didn't know there was an error then there shouldn't be a problem as they'll disregard that question.

Oh hell - that would have seriously have freaked me out.

What does he want to do assuming he gets the news he's after?

UCAS website can be a bit hit and miss on results day, some years it opens up earlier than 8am even though they advertise 8am as the time it opens. Other years it opens at 8am and then crashes with all the load.

When your house purchase has failed to go through, and you find yourself actually renting out a room in a university hall of residence over the summer, these things happen.

No offense was taken to the other comments.

    Fun, fun, fun.

Just hope you get a house purchased prior to September, hate to think about what your posts would be like if you were still there surrounded by new students!
