Morning All
Happy Birthday Miss Jocketuk
DLB: Yoou've brought back happy memories. Uno was the game that my family always played when I was little, you couldnt get it over here then and relatives brought it back from Canada I think. Dont worry about the smoking blip, have another go when your ready.
Valentine: Sorry the morning sickness is still hanging on, hopefully it will tail off soon. Its a pain I know but take comfort from the fact it means your hormone levels are nice and high.
Plan for the day is one load of washing and a trip to Mr T's. Then I think if its dry enough I need to take DD to the park, she is litrally bouncing off the walls this morning and needs to run off some of that energy. I didnt get round to doing the tree yesterday although the rest of the decks are down so I'll do that while DD is having her nap to avoid upset.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
apple_mint wrote:We will probably do some more today. I also made a lovely veggie soup from the sad bits of veggie at the bottom of the fridge. It was lovely and there is enough for lunch today too
Have a lovely OS day everyone!
We call this "fridge debris soup" in our house - well it sounds a lot better than bendy carrot or puckered pepper. wednesday is fridge clearing day and it all goes in the slow cooker while i cross my fingers and hope for the best. we've had some strange combinations but they've all been yummyI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

morning all! Big hugs to those feeling tired or under the weather.
Chaos reigns in the House of Loubee. One of my flatmates is moving out (she has found a 1 bed flat of her own) so her stuff is all over the place. New flamate is moving in at the same time. Am very jealous of my flatmate moving out, but in a couple of months it will be me moving :j Thanks to BargainRzl i've got lots of good leads on nice studio/1 bed places in SE London to check out. :T So excited-i'll have a fridge to myself and be able to be properly OS with my cleaning. :rotfl:
In between flatmate swapping, have to go help the BF finish sealing his bathroom and taking stuff to the tip, and go to a friend's house for Risk playing and wine drinking to celebrate another year under his belt.
the mere act of typing all this has made me feel exhausted
breakfast/lunch-toast and baked beans
tea-what ever the BF has kicking about his house.0 -

Lots of new avatars I see. Nice to see your bee is back Penny pincherIs that you Lynzpower ? I'd put my photo on my avatar but I'm not glamorous or brave enough  Besides my crusty loaf is in fact quite like me :rotfl:
Boys have gone back to judo this morning and I'm taking DD to dance soon.
I'll be glad when Monday comes, my OH and kids are all back at work/school then....at lastI enjoy having them around, but I could do with some peace and quiet.
Not sure what lunch will be-probably beans on toast.
Supper is steak (splashing out a bit) with rosemary and garlic potatoes and coleslaw. Fruit salad made with bargain pineapple, grapes and tinned peaches for pud.0 -

Slept quite well (for me) last night..... woke up a few times but did manage to get back to sleep. finally surfaced at 8.45am........OH just gone out for a couple of hours, I need to strip the bed and make a pot of soup for lunch, have not had soup for a couple of weeks, have some stock somewhere in the freezer, then we have a visit to the library planned.
The little project I am working on is going quite well so am pleased about that.
I printed off a bonus token for the sun holidays last night, the offer is starting again today, so will need to get the sun this week to get enough coupons to qualify. We fancy a short break in the autumn if we can find one.
Pizza for supper tonight, so also need to make tomato sauce, should have done it yesterday but did not manage it, hey ho...... it will be fine....
off for a :coffee: then get on with my bits and bobs,
Have a good day folks...............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Freecycle lady has been so I no longer have a grotty old hoover sitting in the hallway.
Think I've decided not to think about bike shopping until next week. Need to relax a bit today or my throat infection will probably get worse again.
PP - I'm glad to see the return of your bee toothriftlady - lynzpower's new avatar is Kirsty from Location, Location, Location.
Am currently watching Saturday Kitchen. Funny how on TV, "kitchen" only means "cooking" rather than "cleaning and washing up" What was that thing I was meant to be doing this morning .

Late start this morning. went to spoonies with exdh for beer and burger - he's hopeless - his guiness wasn't part of the deal so he bought one anyway. When he told me i went back to the bar and claimed another vodka and coke for me  fell asleep on the sofa and woke up at four with all my clothes and the lights and telly on - i only had the two drinks honest!
had to walk there and back as middle dd has my oyster card and popped into asda for sugar for my new winemaking kit which i am going to start in a minute - my favourite wine is lambrini so i'm no conosieur (sp?) and will drink more or less anything
dd is still at her friends so exdh drove me to wickes for a flourescent tube for the kitchen - had to make do with a standard lamp for the last few days as i couldn't work how to get a four foot tube home on the bike.
Having a football fest later but can't decide wether ot go the pub or watch at home. middle dd is a gooner and exdh and youngest dd are liverpool. youngest dd has lots of liverpool friends in the pub who buy her sweeties and drinks for luck but gooner dd has a 2yo so it might not work out. I will probably want to drown my sorrows after yet another defeat for brentford who are away this week.
blooming freezing! boiler is playing up and sounds like a slow tardis - only one radiator is working even though i've bled them all. Need to phone the housing association and see if middle dd can stay at mine next week for three days as they won't guarantee a day or time and i can't afford to take time off work to wait for them. Might go and ask our friends on the diy board if there is a quick fix
have a great day - come on THE BEES!
