    Morning everyone
I wish I could knit Queenie..........

Oh mrs mix so do I she would be a massive asset to my household:rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all   (you know the rules in my house:D )

Had a rotten cold for a couple of days now and have just been really tired all the time. Got woke up at 7 am by the very noisy bin men ( thats just rude:D ) luckily my neighbour had whizzed them out last night (the bins that is:rolleyes: ) so went back to sleep and woke at midday which is ok except I missed Saturday kitchen and I love that programme!

Anyway I do feel a little better today after sinking double dose vitamin c, a beechams powder thing and 4 cups of tea - I really could do without being ill next week when Im back 'on tour' so Im doing my best to kill it dead.

Off to my monthly lunch/dinner meet later today with my bessy mate and family (seems to whiz round so quickly must be getting old!) they are due to drive so a couple of hot toddys may be in order - I did warn them I had the lurgy but they all have too so we will be a jolly little party:rotfl: We go to a gorgeous little pub in warrington with a big roaring fire and a lovely menu and the prices are really good.

peony 40 I have loads of chick peas too (the dried ones) I think asda were selling them cheap in the summer along with lentils and various other beans that Gillian McKeith would be proud of me for having. I was going to do a big 5 bean chilli in the slow cooker tomorrow but I might have a go at some daal as well so thanks for the idea and maybe some houmus:j

This evening I plan to stay in and juggle the tv control between Just the two of us, soapstar superstars and big brother (sad I know:o ) why do they insist on putting all these on at the same time - come feb there will be nothing on at all.

Right off to see if I can find a pattern for queenie:j :j :D

Have a lovely day all and Happy Birthday Little Miss Jockett

    Hello everyone!
I've been reading your daily thread since I joined the site and I find it quite comforting each day (a bit like my daily phone call to my mum). So I thought it was about time I joined in.

how i wish we could afford to go back to Florida, we went in Sept 05 and it was the most life changing hoilday ever.
We will go back one day this is one of the things that keeps me working towards being debt free.

Your photo brought back happy memories for me.We went for the first time in July 2004 and then managed to save up to return in July 2006 for four weeks. Unfortunately we are still paying it off! But it was the best family holiday we've ever had and did us all the world of good, so no regrets.
In fact I discovered this wonderful site from someone who visits one of the Disney forum sites.

  • Hi All,
Am trying to motivate myself to go and do some tidying up, but MSE seems to be winning at the moment.
Went to Matalan this morning, they have a 75% off sale, so managed to pick up some long brown boots, a smart cord jacket, 2 pairs of trousers and a top for £41. Think I did very well there, as I desperately neeed the trousers and boots.
Right, must go and clean the bathroom.

    Take care all

    Hello peeps

Hope you're all well, hugs to those who are still feeling poorly.

Not posted anything on here for about a week now as life has been a bit hectic. I put my flat on the market on tuesday and after 3 viewings in 2 days have had an offer put in for near enough the asking price... still in shock!! :j Fun really starts now though keeping fingers crossed that it all goes through pretty smoothly  have now filled out all the forms for the letting agent for the house I'm going to rent while my place is selling... ahhh rent and mortgage at the same time, fortuntly wage for the new job should cover both :T oh the joy of relocation!!!

Trying to have a bit of a sort out today, getting ready for packing up to move. Have spent the morning doing a list of all the things I need to do before I move at the end of the month  its all rather frightening

thinking I might have a wonder out to the paper shop the the Guardian and the free things to do guide :) have a few bits to pop on ebay too... does anybody know if there are any free listing days coming up soon??

Hope you all have a good day

    love tink x

Back again and have done the inventory of the freezers, fridge and cupboards. It's amazing how much stuff I have in them. Was good though as I started the meal planning as I went along.

I need to go and get a few more bits and pieces from the shops (think I'll stick to Lidls today) but I can't go until the people come for the cooker.

Amie399 - exactly the same thing happened here only it was me that measured wrong as I forgot to take into account the bay window bit. It was a bedroom carpet. Needless to say dh went on about it for a long time and now he never takes my word when it comes to measuring anything.

Busygirl - welcome. I too find this place really comforting (even more so when you're having a really bad day and you can let off a bit of steam)

    Oh damm!!!
Just missed the bin men!! Forgot it was today, i hate it when they change the days over xmas!!
Looks like a trip to the tip, the bin was over flowing as it was!!!!
Glad we weren't the only ones to do this. Our usual bin day is Friday - however, with Christmas, 1st collection in Jan was to be Saturday - which suited us brilliantly as we just got back from a few days in Centerparcs yesterday afternoon. :D

So there was Mr Frizz and I dozing this morning at 9.30am, when I heard the familiar sound of the binmens lorry - and both of us sat bolt up right and shouted "BINS"

Miserable day here - has not stopped raining. :(

Did a big healthy food shop in Asdas this morning, whilst Mr Frizz and DDs packed away decs. House always looks so tidy when they come down. So I am sat here with an Activa (ooo I feel as big as a house) yoghurt, when I am wishing it was a large packet of Thai Chilli Walkers Sensations. New Years Resolution is to be more healthy - so have not bought any crisps, cakes or chocolates.

    Have a good day everyone.
