Here goes my eldest brother who is on jsa (there are 3 of us) is currently living in the family home , both my parents are deceased. The 3 of us were granted probate but we have still not changed the deeds over into our names.
Question 1 How do we do this?
Once we have changed the deeds, we are looking at selling the property and my brother has agreed to move into a council property if one can be found.
How would the probable income from the sale of the house approx £90000 split 3 ways £30000 each affect my brothers jsa ?and would this also affect his chances of getting a council house.
If his chances of getting a council house are affected is there a way of dividing the inheritance so that he would still be eligible for either benefits or a council house?
Hope all this makes sense.
Thanks in advance0 -
Quick question for CIS regarding creamtea's query.
Don't remember much this days due to CO-induced brain injury.
I gave a friend formal notice to quit. Council refused to house friend due to mental health, he ended up staying with me for another three years.
Same council said I had to pay non-dependant CT for the three year period. I refused but when I got DLA(low rate care) backdated to four years, I appealed CT decision on the basis that deduction should not be applicable to me cos of DLA and this was accepted.
Does this relate to creamtea and boobless's query?WHAT I SAID NEVER CHANGED ANYONE, WHAT THEY UNDERSTOOD DID:A0
