Valli big hugs for you both xx
Just 2 more cupboards to clean now so should be done by 8pm, may do a little more like the window sill etc. The mood for cleaning thoroughly does not often strike! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well, safe to say that the builders have put pay to most of my potential flying this week! The lettings agent has finally contacted us to tel us that the builder is fitting a new ceiling for the living room TOMORROW so would be able to move stuff out of the way please! Harumph! Having waited for 2 months for it to get fixed (we've had a 6' x 4' hole in the ceiling since June as a pipe had been leaking in the bathroom and the ceiling bowed and collapsed in the night!) we now have to move stuff around and be quick about it! As a result of this all of my living room flying from yesterday was now pointless and the study and kitchen now look like junk rooms!
Shall therefore focus on bedroom! Off I go! Anyone care to join me for a HHC at 7:30? xxxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Hope you and DS are ok Valli
Does anyone have a solution for white sheets/duvet covers/pillows that are no longer white? Mostly from using lots of body oil in the past. I plan on buying new ones when this treatment is over (no point before), but if someone else is doing my ironing I'd like to get my linen as white as possible.0 -
Greenbee - what about the stuff for turning net curtains back to white?
Mine are starting to fall to bits from excessive use, they are lovely high count EC ones but being used daily and washed twice a week has just worn them out. I have spares but they are just not as nice. This no money thing is hard work 'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Wash them less frequently hex... I only do my once a week
just spend more time in the bath.
My sheets are 12 years old and ordinary polycotton. The next lot will be organic, fair-trade and luxurious but I'm not getting any until I'm through with surgery as I'm spending too much time in bed and there is the post-op/medication bleeding to consider.
I need new towels too.. My cream ones don't go with the mostly white bathroom, and as they're about 20 years old I wouldn't feel bad about it if they were showing any sign of wear...0 -
valli - hope you and DS are ok
