We've a codicil to our wills that needs to be witnessed by 2 people, and Mr LW suggested T & M as likely candidates, and they've agreed to help. Naturally, I'm very nervous *rolleyes* so coping vibes would be greatly appreciated.:o

Just looked at the weather forecast - rain later, so I will wash stuff ready for pegging out tomorrow.

LW - sending you coping vibes and a few spare spoons.

DS2 is about to declutter an upper front tooth. It's really bothering him now, so I hope it will go soon. He's turning down all food (even porridge). Best make sure the toothfairy has a pound coin ready. ;)

Had lunch and will start again after a quick cuppa.

Boooooo I've done nearly every other room. MiL and SiL with kids came round at lunch time. I'd had a bit of warning so removed all dog fluff. Of course the kids love the fluffybutts so it looks like I've not hoovered *sigh* or dusted or cleaned in anyway at all.
Ahh well, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and stairs all look good for now. So I guess I'll be getting on with the bedroom then - at least the linen doesn't get changed till the weekend :) Mind you I'm feeling a bit ropey so it might just be a bedroom day tomorrow :)

Feel like my whole life is a mess - I look a mess, the house is a mess, money is a mess. I feel overwhelmed by everything.
I've been going in circles concentrating on the wrong things.
I was talking to my lovely neighbour, who is older and wiser, and she said to me that through the years she's learned that when her house is kept looking reasonable - not perfect - and not all cluttered, and she has sensible routines going, her life always starts to get sorted out better. In other words, house first, then the other areas are easier to improve. Makes sense to me so here I am.:A

I'm going to be busier starting in September when I will be working part time and studying. At the mo, I can't even cope with working, never mind adding in study too. I am a person who seems to get less done when I have more spare time. A decade ago I was working full time, left the house at 6.30am, got home at 7.30pm, managed to cook decent meals, keep the house looking ok (not great, but it was ok), keep a husband happy, manage my finances, see my friends and family, and have time for hobbies.
Now I'm divorced, only me to look after at home, only my mess to clear up, work part time, have LOADS of spare time but always feel busy and harassed. Never go out, spend too much, and basically get sweet FA done!

Right, now that I've got that off my chest, :rotfl::rotfl: I need to start to declutter and keep on top of the basics.

Tasks for the rest of today

Make a start on sorting that huge pile of papers in my home office (I work from my home.). Have a bag for stuff to be recycled, and another for stuff to shred. Use bags while sorting.

Before bed tonight, give the kitchen a quick going over. Tidy up, clean worktops down, sweep floor. Switch on dishwasher if necessary.

I haven't done anything since earlier. My friend came to collect his carpet cleaner and now I am just waiting for DH to come home. Solicitor stuff is sorted and I am looking forward to the phone call tomorrow telling me the money has gone through and we can get the keys. When we moved in here the phone call came mid-morning and a lot earlier than we expected. It would be nice if we can get the keys at our handover which is at 11am but we will have to see. Hoping DH will sort through the rest of the stuff that can be packed this evening as I need to chill out before work now...roll on the end of the Tattoo.

Been beavering away in the kitchen all day cleaning out the cupboards. Just having a little break and then back to it - over half way which is great news. Sorted out all the OOD medications to declutter and am checking the store cupboard supplies. Preparing for Autumn/winter as it is raining so much, I need the lights on and a long sleeved top - come back summer I'm not done with you get.
