only takes one person in a position of authority to write a letter of assurance just remember that

it only takes one person to authorise a payout

the same way it took only one person to screw me over

Only takes 1 person to scan copies of the magnificent letter and triumphant, no doubt 6-figure cheque and post them here to prove what you say is true as well :)

Given how easily you've got them to roll over I expect it will be all done and dusted by Monday tea time :)

  • That remains to be seen. You haven't actually got either yet so I wouldn't be quite so smug if I were you.

Just because they told you in a phone call (so you can't prove they said it) that they would send you the letter, doesn't mean that they will. They might just have been fobbing you off and playing for time while they take proper legal advice.

They also didn't say anything to you about possible compensation. The fact that the Union solicitor is going to write to them 'demanding' it doesn't mean a thing.

  • So all they have ACTUALLY agreed to do is send a revised CA? You seem to have made an awful lot of further assumptions based on just that! If they have an in-house legal team of course they will defend any court action you take. And if you don't win, you will be liable for whatever costs they decide to charge for that time as well as your own costs.
