That is soooo nice. How big is the final picture?
Huge
It's this one
Judellie's also doing it at the moment - she's finished the whole thing but not yet done the backstitching.
Now back to the backstitch on Tenby Harbour. Here's a close up of what I've done so far

and here's whats left to do

It's going to take ages to do and I'm really fed up with it already. I may do a page of backstitch and then reward myself by doing another chart in my stash. Must get back to it now or I'll never finish it. See you all later.0 -
Sat down this afternoon to finish the birthday card needed for next weekend only to discover that I have counted wrong.
the chart (which I have lost) doesn't include the numbers so I had to plot them myself. I've miscounted somewhere so now as I stitch the last number, I am one square out which will mean unpicking and restitching.
I really don't have the energy or enthusiasm to do this now and time over the next week is going to be limited.
That will teach me to leave it to the last minute. May have to resort to buying a card.....0 -
Thanks 23rd, I just want to get started now. I'd love to see the linky, I always like to see any finished work
Mags cat Tenby looks great! It's interesting to see two people working on the same piece who have two totally different approaches. Shows everyone has their own way to work!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
I got the little christmas meerkat set from Hobbycraft where two meerkats are peeking out of a chimney. I haven't done any cross stitch since I was 10 ajd that was 9 years ago....I'll be adding it to my mum's christmas card as she loves meerkatsSavings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

I was digging around in a cupboard earlier & guess what I found?!? My Calendar Bears kit! I haven't seen it in years & had no idea where it was. It's quite grubby & the back is soooo messy (I obviously have improved since 1998 when I started it!), but's it's well on the way to being finished. One whole bear to stitch, plus most of 'June' and lots of touching up where french knots have fallen out. I still haven't improved on those, so beads it is...LOL! I'll have to post a pic, then get back to stitching it again.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

:hello: Morning everyone and welcome bella_b to our lovely little cafe.
Just trying to have a bit of a catch up as I haven't been able to for last few days and sadly not much stitchy time here - might it be the fact that it is backstitching thats left to do
You creased me up chicky - I remember the dr. whites when I was just starting out - probably about 40 years ago - I hate to admit it was that long ago  ooooooh the joys of yesteryear. :rotfl::rotfl: Enjoy your family time over the next few days and make the most of it cos you deserve it.Well done for your work on the charity donation.
Love your litte house and christmas pics Ruth_honey
Well done with eeyore Emily it looks as though he is coming along nicely :T
Good luck with uni KatyLiz - hope all goes well for you.
Stop tempting me with Tenby Mags_cat. It looks really great but I keep reminding myself of all that damned backstitching :rotfl:
How frustrating for you Flat Eric - especially when you are so far on with it. Don't let it beat you - you will have it done in time
Well then - my cuppa has now gone cold while I've been catching up, the washing has finished so it is probably time for me to get into action as we have one of those days ahead.
Take care everyone.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -

Not been around much, been keeping up with all the posts but infected fingernails have made typing (and cross stitching) a little difficult.
Chemo finished 2 weeks ago and I now have a bit of peach fuzz on my head so very exciting.
Clinic on Wednesday so will get my surgery date and found out how much cross stitch leave I will need to recover!
Is anybody planning to go to Ally Pally the weekend after next?Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December
