augustsmummy - WOW! What a lot of hard work you put it, some great stuff there! My daughter would've loved all of it, no wonder the kids at the party were happy :) I wish I was generally crafty, even cake making is always left to my hubby as he's far better at that sort of thing!

judellie - good work, I know the pain of all that backstitch. When I did my Bothy threads cut-thrus I left all of the backstitch to the very end, and there was a lot of it! I was ready to scream by the end, but it always feels good when it's finished and the piece really stands out.

No stitching done for me as my parents have been up, but I'll be watching X-factor with needle in hand tonight :)

Is CSI not a little distracting? Or do you use your cross stitch to hide behind? :rotfl:
    Enjoy your cuppa 23rd :D

Well, I guess I stitch mostly in the adverts with CSI, but it's a good excuse, and it stops me munching whilst its on so that's good too. And any progress is still progress.

Your daughter is so lucky youre so good at All those crafts! :T. The cakes look wonderful, and so nice they could take away a gift to keep.:T

    Evening ladies.

Just logging in for a short while whilst XFactor records for us to speed watch later :D

Judellie. Love Tenby Harbour, can't wait to see the finished piece as the backstitch is really bringing it to life already.

Augustsmummy. Love all your birthday party makes, the shoe buns are especially cute! I'm not surprised everyone was impressed, you're very talented.

AFM. Have done some stitching today, not an awful lot as backache forced me to stop sooner than I wanted to but I'm not in a hurry to get it done so no big shakes.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • wow augustsmummy what a lot of work!! The lollipop tree is fantastic!!

I was granted 3 hours baby and toddler free time today (techncally is was 4 but hubby let ds1 come upstairs after 3 to annoy me) so I enjoyed that by sitching, reading, sleeping or no thats right..... ebaying. 24 items down 3 to go.....

I bet none of it actually sells (cause i refuse to sell for 99p would rather hang onto it and list locally for free every week) except I now have 3x 110litre boxes full!! + 2 bin bags of baby clothes.

just catching up on austrailian masterchef. I few survey sites to weekly log in on. THEN I THINK i might start my mummy's christmas stitching....... if I have a bit of AIDA the rght size.

ohhh I am stillllllllll hungry. just had a jacket potato with beans and cheese but still peckish and thinking i may have a crisp sandwich ... boo for *reasonably* healthy food.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

  • :)Thank you everyone for your kind comments :o.
I always worry when I do homemade items that people will see it as me being cheap if you know what I mean.
I was thinking of doing a few homemade items for family members for Christmas, but I know most of my family wouldn't like it, they would rather have bought items, as they value the cost not the thought :(.
    Oh well, their loss.

Back to cross stitching, lol, I am busily working away on my new challenge ready for my Dad and Grandad this christmas, "On The Beach". It sums them both up so well ;). I haven't done as much as I intended as I had to put it down to do a card for DDs friend. One problem with having so much craft stuff is that DH refuses to let me buy premade cards lol.

Well I hope to just sit and stitch for a few hours tomorrow... well thats the plan ;).

Judellie - good luck with all that backstitch, I always struggle with that bit, but it will look fabulous once its finished :).

    Right, bed time I think
    Night all

Wishing i'd bought an extra one when I got mine - just think of the profit I could have spent on extra stitchy stuff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
