If its any help re the 5 for £5 magazines I have to admit to being, well, I call it MSE but I cancelled mine then resubscribed for £5 once I'd had my last issue. Have done same with X-Stitch Gold too - had to phone them to do the 5 for £5 today as my PC not playing properly and they were fine (I just cancelled a £8.99 for 9 issues as the last one came a qweek ago).

Anyway, only a quick one this evening as hubbie is talking about possibly emigrating to Australia as they are crying out for people with his skills at present. Will keep you posted!

  • Morning everyone and welcome to our new fellow stitchers. :hello:
Don't know whether I want to get out Myrtle this morning cos as I was putting it way late last night I think I may have spotted a bit of a clanger

I think all you mathematicians must have gone to the same school as my DH. He can make us look like millioniares or paupers depending on which argument he is wanting to put forward. :)

Anyway I think I will be brave, have a couple of sips of lovely cuppa and get the xstitching out and have a wee peep - hopefully there won't be too much to unpick.

Hope you all have a good day.

Definitely get it out and sort it otherwise (if you're anything like me) it'll sit there for years!

Had to laugh at what you said about your DH - mine says the same about me. I used to be in sales so I always have the right arguement for and against anything! We've just decorated (well, nearly) the spare room - I've sucessfully convinced him we're moving into there as our room and made him think he picked the wall paper, paint and carpet colours though he hated them all on first glance!!!

Anyway, onto other news. DH is still thinking about Oz - I love the idea but not getting too excited as I know when he thinks about leaving friends and family he'll give it all up and not go anywhere.

Was supposed to be at Craft Cafe this afternoon showing X-stitch and getting on with making things for the charitys market stall in a few weeks; unfortunately I woke up with vertigo so bad that I feel drunk so I won't be driving anywhere :( What's more it tends to last 7-8 weeks when i get a good bout of it and we're due to go to the inlaws  tomorrow.

On the upside that's 7-8 weeks of sitting on the sofa stitching!!! :j

Got it sorted ejs. Had made a bit of a boo boo but thank goodness I realised before I got too far. Making quite good progress atm and should have no difficulty in finishing it time for my sil's 50th. Had hoped to post a pic at weekend but it seems to take me that long to work out what I'm doing and it eats into stitchy time :o

We have just completed our decorating (well nearly) and ds has requested a carpet for his study room as his laminate flooring is looking a bit worse for wear. By the time dh and ds have finished planning 'what to do while we are on' - we have now ended up with major diy project. - arrrggghhh men eh.

More stitchy news - WOXS has landed on my doormat today :j sad news is I haven't got time to open it and have a little peep :(

I'm sure the cafe will be open to members from Oz ejs - so don't worry too much - you'll not get away from us that easy.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
