Sorry eric, fogot to answer your questions... Drinks, as I don't like alcohol I must say my fave is black tea or green tea. I do like fizzy drinks but I ma trying to subsitute this for water. As for Sunday roasts we used to have them as a child but not so much now. We have them about once every six months, today is one of those days. As for stitching days whenever my day off is a stitching day but sometimes I get a hour done, other 5/6+ it depends on how I feel. The lastes i have stayed up is probably 11pm when I was doing the wedding gift.
Moo, I love that design, very modern. Can't wait until I see it finished.
Magscat, lovely first page. You can't see any flaws at all so they can't be that bad. Good luck on the next few pages.0 -
Noo, I forgot today was the 14th!! can I still bid please?
so sorry.
Don't normally say this but OMG dd has just started the cupcake cross stitch Santa gave her last Christmas and it has taken an hour to do 23 stitches and I am completely frazzled. I have re-threaded her needle a hundred times, unpicked where she has doubled the thread and I have no idea where 2 big loops have come from! And her response "it's not as easy as you think is it? Let's carry on tomorrow"
Shall I hide it now she's asleep and tell her dh tidied when he got back
How old is she? sounds like good determination to want to carry on after such frustration!Wow...I was only away a couple of days and we've not only moved but you gobby lot have written three pages!
Finished the first page of Tenby Harbour! (Well the first full page and the little extension page that fits on the bottom...call it a page and a half.) As you can see - took the advice and did the backstitching. That's only taken two sessions so is definately the way to go. It would be a huuuuge job to do it all at the end. There are many mistakes in it - things the wrong colour etc.etc. but I don't care - it looks fine :rotfl:

what is your typical sunday dinner ? do you have roast ?
what is the day you love most because its the day you can get the most cross stitch done
what is the latest time you have stayed up to just to get those extra few stitches in...
- Ours is usually Roast chicken, roast potatoes, pepper sauce, carrots, broccoli and yorkshire puddings on a Sunday. Although the kids woudl be happy with macaroni and cheesy garlic bread. We're not massive red mead eaters tbh.
- Ummm...I think a Friday evening. Lots of soaps on, and I can stay up late because it's the weekend.
- 4am easily, if I get into something I just want to keep at it
Mags - Tenby is looking great, I love how the backstitch can bring an MP design to lifeCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hmm sunday these days tends to be a huge cooked breakfast and pizza or similar later. We do usually have a roast dinner midweek though when there are between 9 and 15 of us as it's easier to cook for so many.
never seem to get any stitching done at the moment too busy cleaning decorating e baying and numerous other things.
Latest i've stayed up to finish a project is all night i put the last stitch in about 7.45 am for my 1st grandson.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

So i'm a little late to this but here we go...
Fav drinks : tea, lemonade, dark rum with coke, real cider, red wine (merot or Grenache, never shiraz!)
Sunday dinner : whatever is in that needs eating up! We usually have sausage baguettes for brunch though today's was Chana masala roti wraps as I made too much curry on fri! Tonight's dinner is woopsied peppered grill steaks with potatoes. In winter it is often all in 1 roast sausages/potatoes thing. Umm, feeling hungry now.
Didnt get anticipated stitching time this afternoon...We spent most of the afternoon processing apples to make our first batch of cider!! Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
wowow!!!! PP well done you!!
Somehow i missed the sunday dinner chat.... normally i do chicken/ roast tatas/ pudding for tea. tho occasionally we have pork if Mr M has it on offer.
would love to have lamb but a) tis sooo expensive, b) DH doesn't like it. but if i could find cheap lamb chops somewhere i'd do it for just me on a night hubby isn't here. Going to explore my new ASDA tomorrow might eye up their prices.
Last chance if you want to try for a kit before i do the draw (prob be about 8.30/9 once we have offload the boy we are looking after and had tea - tho he's been a godsend we've got nothing done but jeez has toddlerwiggle enjoyed himself)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
its called 12 x 5 by the rolling stones
its their second albulm and its incredibly underated.
I'm putting like 10 LPs up a week so i dont over whelm my self. This week they've gone for £180ish altogether and i have another 70ish records to shift
Im getting to keep the money. I know i should use it to pay off debt and stuff. But i havent been on holiday in YEARS and my Father In Lw to be lives in menorca, oh hasnt seen him in 4 years and I think i should meet him before, ya know, I end up with a new last name!
what do u think? bills? (which i am paying off slowly but surely) or holiday ...... or cross stitch stuff :P (back on topic)I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!Starting 2107lbs this month = 5.5Total loss = 5.5Too many UFOs to count:EasterBun0 -
Can you split it at a percentage you think is right, i.e 66/33 debt/fun maybe?
Then you'd get your holiday and pay a nice healthy chunk off the debt... which is always a good, but slightly dull thing to do0
