Have just discovered I quite like Tetley Redbush Tea - bought some from Mr. M's yesterday (£1.60 odd) and used a 40p money off coupon off it and later went into HB and found it in there at 40p (ish) a box
Think I might start sewing some cards just to build up a little supply should I need any at short notice - might even start some xmas ones. Was thinking of starting the Margaret Sherry 12 day of Xmas but I know it wouldn't get done for this year and I might feel a bit daunted by such a big project and don't really want to sicken myself with it part way through. No I've decided - cards it is ..............:D
Will post pic of Cottage Garden once I've sorted mounts out. Got frame from car boot sale the other week for 50p :j. Had a look around local charity shops today but there was very little sitchy stuff to be had
Well its back to my cuppa tea and some M & M s (blue bag) - simply goregous
Take care everyone
I did a big Margaret Sherry project - took me about 4 years, and was finally finished when I was off sick from work for several months.
Although it looks good and I am proud of it, I got rather sick of looking at it so it lounges in the cupboard nowI pop a photo up though, because they do look pretty lovely when finished
In other news, I finshed the butterflies today. just a bit of back stitching to do. Then I need to decide if I want to do the other two butterflies in the set, or get back to my Windmill... decisions decisions!0 -
Happy New thread!!!! Have some :bdaycake:
Chicky, could you please add Celtic Rose Needlecraft to the links when you get chance? http://www.celticroseneedlecraft.com/ They sell some lovely charts & the owner is so helpful whenever I've had to contact her.
Also, if you wanted to add my blog link to my name & number on page 2 (like *Louise* has got), the link is http://stitchingbunny.blogspot.com/
Had a lovely start to my day this morning. A parcel from The DragonThank you again!
I like that Dolly Mamas kit. I've stitched a few of those. They're fun to do & make people smile when they see them on the wall. I have another 3 or 4 in my stash but not the ones mentioned-sorry.
Went to the gym again this afternoon. My knee has been painful for a few days, so I didn't do any rower or bike, and only 10 mins on the treadmill before I gave up & went to do some work with weights. Had a nice chat with one of the instructors about doing some classes. I'm not sure what kind of thing to try, though. I already do water aerobics, which I really enjoy. Spinning I know I'd hate, but I don't really know what else to go for first. Any suggestions? Was thinking I might enjoy boxercise, but I don't have a sports bra (can't find one in my size!). My best friend has suggested wearing 2 bras-would that work, do you think?
No stitching done today. I'm going to get back to working on Princess Palace next week. It's been ages since I did anything on that one.
Fave tipple? Hmmm...I used to be into the alcopops, but now I've discovered the fruity ciders. Yum! Also like Crabbies Alcholic ginger beer. Tia Maria & coke is very nice. Think we're out of Tia Maria here though. The cupboard seems to be filled with Baileys.I like it, but don't drink much at home. I sometimes put it in my coffee. And if I'm feeling really adventurous, pour a bit on ice cream.
I do enjoy a nice cocktail if I'm on a night out in a Wetherspoons (where I can actually afford a cocktail!), but sadly I haven't had a night out like that in yonks.
I do looooove coffee though. Hot or iced, flavoured or 'plain'...yum yum!
Anyway, I'm off to bed to watch some TV & hopefully fall asleep before 3am-unlike last night! Night all!
Edited to add-TMIF, I'll give your Margaret Sherry a temporary home if you're sick of it! I love it! It's really, really fab! Was it from the calendar they had one year, or was it the monthly charts in the mag? Either way, I think I have them somewhere in my stash (as a 'must do').
What windmill kit/chart are you doing?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
This is about 4 evenings work so I'm really happy with how it's coming along.
I'm pretty much an alcohol free zone too, I stopped drinking when I fell pregnant with Emily and now I'm such a lightweight I don't bother. Whenever we go out I tend to stick to Diet Irn Bru and at home I drink tea ALL day, DH jokes that he has to refill the tea bag canister every night when he gets in from work  :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member 710 -

Oh Hello shiney new thread
*bounces in to a corner, magics a beanbag and resumes stitching
tis sunday. tis the stitching day. I too am doing the butterfly/flower organisers from the magazine, but I started on the green background one and still am no where near posting photos!
Tipple? I drink alot of things..... and I am one of those few people that still doesn't know the pain of a hangover, and not for lack of trying (Hides because this statement normally results in people throwing this.... and your people with needles ) its generally a Cider (or cidre.... the stella one, its really nice) tho if I move onto spirits most things go.... apart from gin. And Tequilla is my "to make me no longer care" drink.... And White wine makes me lose property of my sensible synapses..... OH dreads the evenings when I hve white wine and tequilla shots.... its dangerous:beer: (hastily points out that she is in her young twenties and thus it sounds like shes an alcaholic when its written down (or heard about by parent) but I'm a lemonade girl at home, or cherry diet coke, or tea or coffee (made the same way I like a man, Big, Strong, Sweet but not Sickly and with a bit of colour in it)
*peers up at the members list and attempts to poke chickywiggle with a long extendable stick (its beanbag.... one u sit down in it, your never getting out of it)
Chicky.... can I have a number please?I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!Starting 2107lbs this month = 5.5Total loss = 5.5Too many UFOs to count:EasterBun0 -
It was the calendar from 2004 Ruth.
Take the pesky thing, it just lives in the cupboard of doom... took too long to give it away, but it comes with bad memories if you know what I mean, so I don't like to see it! OK, so I am madx
I only drink tea, orange juice or lemonade0 -
Don't normally say this but OMG dd has just started the cupcake cross stitch Santa gave her last Christmas and it has taken an hour to do 23 stitches and I am completely frazzled. I have re-threaded her needle a hundred times, unpicked where she has doubled the thread and I have no idea where 2 big loops have come from! And her response "it's not as easy as you think is it? Let's carry on tomorrow"
Shall I hide it now she's asleep and tell her dh tidied when he got back
if i'm getting annoyed with a thread coming out (normally the metallics) I use 2 threads (instead of doubling one thro) then tie a knot in it around the needle (does that make sense??) that way it can't fall out and can be cut off at the end,Ruth_honey wrote: »Happy New thread!!!! I shall (in a min while i remember)
I actually rarely drink (did in my uni days but then not to excess). I think I have had maybe 10 glasses/ bottles to drink since 2008!!
I normally drink coke/ pepsi at home or tea (can't stand coffee - unless its coffee cake or coffee ice cream). And would choose a can of coke over a glass of vodka any day.
My most fav ever shooter was a banoffee pie one i got when living at home. Ohh it was amazing - banana liquour and baileys (and something else i can't remember what) but have never found it anywhere else since. I remember one firework night when i was MUCH younger (must have been 18 i remember the boyfriend) we sat in this pub and downed numerous ones then moved onto vodka jelly's :rotfl: don't think i could still do it!!
And yes I LOVE cocktails too - we've got a proper cocktail bar back home at my mums which isn't silly priced but went to one up here with a girl a few years ago.... £8 a drink..... Don't think so *luckily she had freebie vouchers).PerfectParadox wrote: »*peers up at the members list and attempts to poke chickywiggle with a long extendable stick (its beanbag.... one u sit down in it, your never getting out of it)

DH gave me a lie in today until 9 (well he came in and woke me up twice but i turned over and went back to sleep). then got up and tiny was SCREAMING.... DH had done his bottle but not bothered with his cereal. so guess who did it.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
