Maybe I just need to get over the bad memories and get the thing on the wall. It is lovely, and everyone else seems to like it.

My problem is that a fair chunk of it was done when I was off sick with anxiety/stress/depression whatever you want to call it - which was caused by an evil boss. I am better now, and I have a new job... but just sometimes, when I look at it I think "I did that when I was off sick" and it reminds me of the whole thing again. Funny old brain :D

Can you not turn that round?

"Despite the stress and pressure I was under, despite my illness, despite the evil boss I managed to achieve *this*"?

That's how I'd like to think I would deal with it. Appreciate it might not be that easy, though. It is beautiful - it should be on display somewhere!

Was it PP selling the records? You've just inspired me to get my dads on Ebay - he gave me them to sell about 2 years ago and I couldn't bring myself to do it but as I am now skint and the credit card it mounting up (am very ashamed that I need to revise my signature in the upwards direction) then maybe its time. He has loads of Rolling Stones, Beatles, etc... How do you post them to stop them getting damaged?

DO IT! or look into having someone from a record shop come over/talk over phone to see if they want the whole collection.

I will be using a sheet of small bubble wrap, and large bubble wrap beore wrapping in brown paper. and fragile stickers!

alot of my friends are now kicking them selves cos i offered they could look through and pick out what they wanted for like £3 a record just to shift them..... and now they have to fight it out on ebay....

TMIF - Mags_cat is so right. I look at what I've done over the past 3 years that i've been ill and think 'wow, I managed that!?!' usually followed with a boost in self confidence that despite sleeping at least 16 hours a day and battling with the depression, fatigue and lack of concentration (i'll not go into the rest!) - I have actually achieved something!

You should be so proud of yourself and I bet that stitching actually helped you get through some of the darkest days too.

:grouphug: ...Have a dodgy hug (where has the other normal hug smiley gone!?!) xx

    Hi everyone

yay for the shiny new thread!

Re drinks: I LOVE Koppaberg at the moment especially their new strawberry and lime flavour. Delish! Beer's good too and I'm surprised to meet so many fans of pepsi max on here. Me and hubby drink it more than water ;)

We don't usually have roasts on Sundays either.

I'm not sure if I've asked this question before and if I have then I'm sorry. How do you all store your threads? Mine are all over the place at the moment. Some are on bobbins some are in bags and I just can't seem to decide on one system for all. Any ideas?

Can I give you a small piece of advice I have read over on the ebay board? There's an ex postman who posts on there and he says items should be packaged to withstand being put into the bottom of a loading cage (like the big cages they use in supermarkets when re-stocking shelves) then having other heavy parcels dropped on them.
Just wanted to mention it as I'd hate for you to send them, they get damaged and you have to refund :o

Hi all, not been around much as I'm still not 100%

A bit of good news though, we have a date for the raffle/prize draw to raise money for the neonatal unit at St. James', in memory of my brother :T {2nd Sept.}.

So I thought, on the off chance to email Chesney Hawkes' management last night {if you remember we played 'the one and only' at Steven's funeral}, to see if he could sign a copy of the CD as one of the prizes.
Well, I just checked my emails and not only do I have a reply, but I have a reply from the man himself!! How cool is that. He doesn't have any copyies of the single anymore though, so I'm gonna see if I can get one from ebay to send to him :D

Back on stitchy topic, the eagle cross stitch I ordered from America came the other day, and the good thing is, it looks like the eagle is the only part that is done in full cross stitch while the entire background is done in half cross stitch, so my question is, which should I stitch first, or doesn't it matter??
