  • Have you tried one out Maria - because I think you either love them or hate them. You're looking at £50 (new) for a frame, stand and "helping hand" I expect you'll want a chart holder too...

I hated mine, Shelly loves hers ;)

I have the popsilock stand with the helping hand and I don't think I would be able to do the wolves without them as it is so big. However I ended up buying a kneeling chair as well, not very MSE :o

  • Thank you Shelly :) I will do that next time I upload pics :D

Well I had a bit of good news today (about flipping time! :( been one of those years!) so in celebration I treated myself to a few craft bits, including "The Dictionary of Bras" ;) I can't wait to get started.

I am still plodding on with Lottie's birthday ready for DDs 5th Birthday in 2 weeks. Thought I had made fabulous progress, then realised a massive error and had to unpick a whole fairy wing .
So I am now having to redo!

Have to get it done in time, DD is looking forward to the finished item!

Hope everyone is having a stitchy day? x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Xmas Saver!
Good idea to look up the HEAD threads b4 buying Flat Eric. The Circe tree story keeper I linked to has 86ish threads!!! Oh my. Can't afford that anytime soon. Still, I'm very happy I have the doctor who threads on order, plus threads for a wedding sampler and a free michael Powell Xmas chart. Knowing how fast I stitch, that'll keep me busy for a year! So i'll stop thinking about HEAD.

Oh, and my dr who was a download, looks fine to me. Thanks for the tip,to print it a few times. I also use google Internet mail so saved all scanned charts and this one there just as a backup too.
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

Aww Maria Those are lovely, especially the night before christmas one! I may have to invest in that one (after I complete my pile!)

The Night Before Christmas chart was in a magazine about 5 years ago - I did it a couple of years ago and I emailed the chart to someone a few months ago. If you want it, PM me your email and I'll search it out.

Aww, it's a cute pic, but not one I could see myself having time to attempt this year, so will leave it open to one of the other ladies who were interested :) xx

I loved stitching Dictionary Of Bras. It's a brilliant design. Pics of my progress are here if you want to have a look:

And this is a pic of it framed & on my bedroom wall.

A non stitchy day for me as a friend called me up to invite me over to his new flat. He has a 3D TV (I know, more money then sense, clearly!) and we watched Despicable Me. :D

Aww it looks lovely finished Ruth_honey I will definately have a peek at your progress pics! I despirately want to start it, but already have the Ducks and Lottie on the go.
Then I have the Christmas on the beach kit (when it arrives) to do before November ...

Hmm more charts than time :o. I must speed up my stitching!

Speedier stitching-I think we all wish we could stitch 10X as fast (or more!)
When you do start it, let us know. I have Cakes & Boots to do, so I'll do a stitch-a-long with you if you like.
