Maria. Love the xmas design, cute. Also like the crafty design you are doing next.
Suzy. That's a nice design you need help with. I'd love to offer but would worry about messing it up
Hope someone can help you get it finished.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
You're very welcome! Glad I could help.
I have a floor frame and I love it.
If you attach your frame to the stand in the way the online pics show then I don't think it would induce backache too much if at all, depending on how close to you you could comfortably use it. If attaching in this way I'd recommend getting a 'helping hand' to go with it too, especially if you want to use quite big frames on it. The helping hand attaches your frame to the stand where the nuts and bolts are, without it your stitches will get crushed.
I do get a bit of backache but I attach my frame the opposite way to the online pics, just because that's how I have always stitched and I can't get used to the other way.
Disclaimer ~ If anyone reading this goes on to buy a floor stand and gets backache, I am in no way responsible :rotfl:
Lol. Sorry to be a pain but what sort do you have there are so many different ones I would rather get one someone has recommended. Also does it hold the aida result tight? Thanks for your help I'm watching one on ebay but I'm not sure if its any good13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -

I'm not sure Maria, but I think that might be just a frame rather than the stand....?0

I still like the Heaven and Earth Design I posted about the other day (Curious Nose) although I think its more like I would like to hold it in my paws rather than actually stitch it ! (and I think buying the threads would melt my bank card!!)
I read the instructions for stitching one of their designs on their website and it made my head hurt ! I e-mailed them this evening to ask how much shipping was to the UK and they said just under 14 dollars which adds to the cost of the item. For 19 dollars you can download the chart but I don't know how this works - has anyone ever bought a chart from their website and selected the download option ? is it headache free ?0 -
If it's like any other chart you download, then you'll get a PDF, probably via direct download from the site or a special email link.... save the file on your computle, print it out a few times, and Bob's your Auntie Marge0

The floor stand itself doesn't hold the fabric. The floor stand holds one of these frames once you have put your fabric onto it. How tightly the fabric is held depends on how tightly you roll the side arms.
If you attach your frame to the stand as in the pic tmif linked to then this is the helping hand I'd recommend (check the sizes though, they do 3 I think):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
