LOL. As chicky said it stands for Heaven and Earth designs, they are really big, detailed designs, which take aaages to complete.

On the upside, there's rarely any backstitch :D:T

I am on my third - I completed Vision at the Lake in 2009, Stealing the Moon in 2010 and am 1/3 of the way through Touched by magic.

    Here is their website:

Ps - I had never heard of them till I joined this group in 2009;)

** DISCLAIMER: I take no responsiblility for any designs you fall in love with if you visit that site and go on to spend years of your life stitching :p

I like this one! curious nose :j

can you stitch them on aida ? (i.e. 14 count) or do you have to stitch them on evenweave - i.e. is it meant that you stitch it on say 28 count evenweave but one over one i.e. you don't miss out the hole ? (that hurts my eyes just thinking about it ). do you buy your charts from the Heaven and Earth Designs website or is there a uk suppllier (if you buy from the Heaven and Earth website, do you have the chart shipped or or simply download it ?)

Mine have all been done on 14ct (I say ALL, sounds better than it is, I'm only on my 3rd one lol:o)

I think I sourced some of my ones from British sites (mainly cos I'm impatient and once I've ordered something I want it NOW):D, only one was from their site and I got it shipped.

Btw - I would never attempt or advise anyone to attempt one over one on 28ct...I wouldn't want to be responsible for someone going blind :eek: I would suggest 16 or 18ct aida instead, some people want the stitches smaller than they come out on 14ct.

The good thing about the designs is you can't see any background so it makes no difference what fabric you choose really :T

Sweetcarer - your ceremony sounds really special and you both look so happy, it must have been a wonderful day :) xx

Oooh, those charts are fab! Not the Doctor Who ones (who's he?!) but the Star Wars one and the Breakfast Club charts are great for starters.
:) I loved the breakfast club one too, and star wars... Though I'd love them to do a Red Dwarf and Big Bang Theory too. Geek? Me? Oh yes!

ooh, gotta say that my drought is over, well at least hopefully... I picked up a UFO! :T A cupcake I was stitching on the train with my old job. I didn't have the right tan colurs for the muffin bit. So I've improvised with some old shade changing thread in beiges... Think it's working :)

Mags cat - those are stunning. I am sure that the people are going to be delighted with them (I might want to have a ;) of the Tigger and Eeyore)

Wolves are neglected. I have been stitching the Wren in the bed in the evenings. Decided on a new way of doing it - one colour at the time, tonight it will be red.

  • Mags, amazing work, really like that circle design.
    PP, happy belated birthday

:bdaycake:Perfect Paradox - Happy Birthday for yesterday, I hope you had a lovely day.

Mags - absolutely love the work you've done. What are you doing next?

I'm getting the urge to ditch the knitting and stitch again so its a good job its about finished or the baby would be a toddler by the time I got round to picking it back up again!

    Hi ladies.

Mags. Love your latest framings. They are stunning!

My ebay win arrived and it's even better in the flesh....so to speak. It's brand spanking new and I saved about £12 buying it from ebay rather than a cross stitch site.
My acrosstown threads are on their way too so much excitement for me this week :rotfl:

    sweetcarer. Love your wedding pic!
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
