Chicky I feel for you I really do. People can be so judgmental and quick to comment when it comes to other peoples children. Hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Hugs to all and I promise to post piccies soon

Hi again everyone.
Suzy if no one else has volunteered I would be happy to help you.
Maria yup I can get you a copy of the chart to you in a couple of days but I changed quite a bit of it to use Kreinik (I got a bag of about 30 colours for £2 at a charity shop!) and missed a few bits out from the pattern I had to add music notes, but I can scan the original in a couple of days. I never leave things the way they are supposed to be.
My friend seems to be doing a bit better now, she has thanked me for just being there for her. She had a scan yesterday and all of the baby has gone so she just needs to counsellling now.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Hi there
Happy Birthday PP
Sorry for delay in replying to you.
We done quite a few traditions. We held it outdoors - in the woods by Loch Lomond. We had a circle of friends and family (of those who could make it). We wrote our own vows, had our own music. I came into the circle and met up with hubby (we had done the legal bit by marrying in a registary office first). My brother gave us the Bann (the thing that ties you together at end - hence the modern day term to tie the knot). We lit candles to symbolise the elements - earth, fire, water, air. We then jumped the beasom (a broomstick like) at end. When you have cross this threashold you go round the circle to receive congratulations.
This is from the website of the guy who did our cermony http://www.scottish-master-of-wedding-ceremonies.co.uk/handfasting.php
We wore our hands tied all the time - even when eating our meal later - not easy. I will try and look out photos as they are on a disk somewhere and I can't find it just now as we moved house a couple years back. The biggest pity was the camcorder failed within 5 minutes of the cermony which we were recording for hubbys family in the States. I sometmes wish it worked as it was so unusal and not everyone could come to see us.
Regarding your cake situation - we got from m&$ a fruit cake, a chocolate cake and a plain sponge. I then decorated them myself - well tried to. I even made wee favours too.
Hope this helps you - it is such a special wedding to have - any wedding is special.
Kind wishes
sweetcarer
