    Hello again everyone

I have not posted for a while as I havn't had an awful lot of stitchy time, but have been keeping up with the thread. Some beautiful work going on I love the mermaid picture. I hope everyone is feeling well today and has a a lovely bank holiday weekend.

I have been very busy decorating a couple of rooms and trying to keep the kids occupied but have done a little stitching over the last few months.

Here is where I last was with my HAED

Thanks ladies. I forget the sizes but its massive the design is 400 x 600 stitches I am doing it on 22 count. But I just had to have it, I am going to do a couple of pages of the sky for a break so the next two pages should come along a little quicker - hopefully! I think its going to be a very long ongoing project.

  • ejs2311 - I will let you know what the tote is like when it arrives. It was an ebay buy, have never seen them before, so it could be interesting lol.

Thank you all for the warm welcome :D.

Well, not a great start to the day, the kit I was hoping to stitch my dad for christmas (which I was bidding on Ebay for) has shot up to the very top of my budget. :( Ever so slightly annoying, since there are 4 others available cheaper. So we shall see if I get it at all, just wishing I hadn't bid up to that yet!

Oh well, there are worse things to worry about, good job stitching takes my mind off everything! :)

Well still on with Duck 3, although it looks like I am starting to stitch a Darth Vader duck...
I shall post a pic asap when I figure out how ;).

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

    hi guys!

had a weekend of wedding/handfasting planning with other half, telling mother-tron about it and getting.... well a lack luster responce at best.

Me and hubby were handfasted ... it is such a lovely wedding cermony - disappointed as the video recorder crashed 5 minutes into it. The guy who did the cermony was amazing and his wife helped too.

Sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel, January must seem such a long way away - you will be counting down the days to get back to it after that

Mother in law has this too and I have been warned just in case I get it - hope the op goes well.

When I first saw your picture thought it was a stitch :rotfl:.

Back home from training - finished early - none tomorrow but back to work. Felt we were awfully rushed with it.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

yeah me and OH are all excited about it, it was just going to be a ceremony (IE we weren't going to have to legally registered) due to him being very anti weddings and do dads but knowing that it would mean alot to me and that he does want to spend the rest of his life with me...... any way (before I go mushy) we've had to pospone it twice (now indefinatly) once due to amily illness/death and once due to me losing my job and so no monies, no ceremony/moving in together :(
And at some point without me knowin he changed his mind and now he wants all legal and proper (I think the sleepy conversation I had with him telling him his children would have my last name, and the only way they would end up with his last name was if it was my last name too, and i would only change my last name if we were married legally....)

So now my mother is meant to get all excited because I am the only daughter marrying a guy who doesn't have
    A)long hair
    B) pericings
    c) tattoos (well he does but they arent obvious)
(the above describing most of my exs)

    Does Have
    a) a steady and progressing job in a big chain company
b)a great family on his side
    c) respect for me and all my friends and family
    d) belief in me and supports me in my ambitions
(the above being traits my ex's lacked)

but my mother doesn't seem to think it a big deal at all, in fact any mention of "mother what do you think of this dress/venue/idea" is met with a reaction of "very nice dear" HIS mother is being more enthusiastic... and shes still mourning the lost of her own OH so I'm trying to be too lovey-dovey around her.

    sigh.

I have also been told off for making the cake we've made (I'm going to post a photo later) because
"If your getting married dont you think you should loose some weight"
"couldn't you have done a plain sponge cake, StepDad doesn't like chocolate."
"when exactly were you plainning on eating that" (I was thinking my birthday, aka tommorow,"

sorry I'm not sure where that RANT came from... none of it was stitchy..... oh dear

oh I remember - with your handfasting what tradtitions did u stick to/not (u can pm me if ud rather) because thats what me and OH are hashing out at the moment... :D

    sigh. Tea time!

Hi Everyone & newbies, hugs to all

Done a little stitching on Highland and found out that I have gone wrong arrgggghhh.

Off to Doctors tomorrow - 3 years ago I had a full Hysterectomy due to endometriosis but this weekend I have got the old 'grinding' pain in my left side returned. I am trying to be postitive and think well it can't kill me but on the other hand I am absolutely devastated. I had the pain for 19 years before they took it all away, I don't regret the op but I thought it would be the end of it..... I can't believe it. :'(
