Chores done - ie. all school uniform bought this morning, nearly £200 later:eek::eek:. Have 3 boys and 2 of them are starting new schools, and all 3 are growing so quickly all the stuff from 2months ago that could be reused are all too small.

Anyway, stitching and cricket this afternoon and hopefully this evening, if Hampshire are still in the running for the T20 championship. COME ON HAMPSHIRE:D:D

Hope you all get some stitching done this weekend, only 1 week to go before the end of the holidays:(.

Not a bad film - half watched it while packing for my holiday a wee while back - it was kind of like two films in one.

...which inspired me to cook, so we Didn't have the planned fish and chips, instead I baked garlic marinated chicken and made a simple recipie of tomatoes with green lentils from the Nigel book. Healthy and tasty. And totally excuses me splashing out on 3 cook books at the works today!.

Sounds really nice what you had for dinner - any chance ;) always wanted to try cooking with lentils - more healthly and chicken and garlic sounds mmmmmm.

Cross stitch collection arrived will have a skim through it and get on with some more of my wee boy stitch - found out I am in no rush to finish it - his dad (my nephew) works on a cruise ship and won't see him for 6 months and he has no fixed address for me to post it too. THe wee lad is away with his mum back to the philipeenes (sp?). THey do plan to marry - wish we could see them - but he is based out of Hawaii. WIll post update picture tomorrow.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

Hi guys, sorry its been so long since I was last on. There have been problems within my family and it had an effect on my bipolar. I hope everyone is ok? Did the article go in Crazy? I think I might have missed it. Im hoping to get some help with some suggestions on what to stitch. My best friend was pregnant and found out last week that the baby has died, so she has just went through a procedure to remove it. I want to do something for her but I just dont know what is ok in times like these. I dont want to say something lke, you will have anoyher child because that doesnt matter, she loved this one she cant replace it. I want to do something that is going to come across really supportive. Any ideas? Also I hav been going to see a chiaropractor to help with my back problems, she is lovely and cos I am on benefits she over halved the cost so I want to cross stitch her something that she can put up in her office but I cant find anything to stitch that could do for a chiaropractor, anyone have any ideas?

I promise I will get on soon and become more frequent posting again, I really miss you all. Bubbles

yes the article did happen (think i have linked in first post).

i can only go on my experience (as don't know your friend) but when I miscarried I didn't want to talk about it to anyone (even hubby). I have no reminders in the house (didn't get as far as a scan) and to be honest I don't think I would want anything to remind me. we haven't really ever spoken about it since and now tinywiggles here I'd all but forgotton. Perhaps a "thinking of you" card would be nice??

arg was going to write more but now both brats are winging..... bb later.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

My best friend sent me flowers when I had the same thing happen as she lives miles away and just put a nice thinking of you message on them which was a way of letting me talk if I wanted/needed. I would leave it at flowers or a card, if your friend wants something to remember her little one by she will choose something when the time feels right. I have a special bracelet that I bought for myself to remember and celebrate my angels, but I am the only person (and you lot now) who know its significance. I wear it when the mood takes me and it has a beautiful shine to it which reminds me of them iyswim.

Hi Bubbles911, nice to see you back. sorry to hear about your friend. i'm so sorry that's such an aweful thing to go through. i'd go with the girls who say to wait and let your friend decide. she'll know you stitch so you can wait and offer her something if she chooses. ((hugs))

hi bubbles nice to "see" you again i have been through what your friend went through my son was still born at 40 weeks 3 years ago, i would say go with flowers and a nice card and if she wants to remember she will do it in her own way, i stitched a poem and have it on my bedroom wall to remind me of him, also with my miscarriage i didnt want to be reminded all the time i have a scan photo and that is all i need, of corse everyone is different so go with your instincts

hope you family problems have improved
