Here pics of the magazines as promised (sorry they are all sideways :o):

    Lots of alphabet samplers:

ooh, marru you got some lovely mags there. i really like the small projects one and the alphabets one. my mum was on the day trip when i got mine and was totally amazed that i said i would be fine to read the charts with only my GCSE French! lol!! :rotfl: so, what wil you stitch first?

    ~~
humm, threads... now my mags are nice and organnised, i've taken a look at my very messy tin of random threads and sorted it out. i've been organised and listed them all on a spreadsheet.

it turns out i have c.14 different threads in both VA (brights) and TREBLA (bolds), and a similar amount in what i think is Anchor (mostly browns and greys), but they dont say anchor, there's just a picture of one, so are they they real ones?? i then have a few totally random ones that may have come from aunts or the market for xmas projects ect, and the few DMC that i've bought for a few specific projects, and the 99p store threads - which are the ones i've been mostly using to be honest.

Has anyone else found themselves with such random threads they cant seem to do much with them? should i just buy a start up set from ebay? or figure out what threads i need for my next few projects (should probably do this but it feels like so much work!:o) and get from Accross Town?

hi chicky, can I have a referral too please ?? thank you :j

My passion is cross stitch and although I have invested in other crafts (quilling, glass painting, card making stuff and knitting and have a nice little stash) I never have enough hours in my day for my cross stitch let alone other crafts!!! I am still getting back into my cross stitch and enjoying getting lots of practice in before I attempt a big project (well a project where I will be tweeding the thread - country companions hedgehog design).

what does everyone have planned for the bank hol weekend ? me = cross stitch .... lots of !!!
