grrr... i promise i will make this breif

i got a chart off of the flea bay.... was happy

have been stitching the massive compkicated design. the colours are meant to be dmc but also listed with anchor equivilant next to it (shop i normally buy from stocks anchor) and went to get another set of colours today. have been home and stithing. moved onto a new symbol only to think "hmmm that cant be the right colour the description is mocha brown this is gray green...

turns out they have given the wron anchor equivilant and i am now looking through the list with a converter on the web and they all seem to be a bit wrong.... what should i do?

:mad::mad::mad::mad: I don't f*&*Ing believe it! I just wrote a really long reply to quite a few people's post & it's gone & lost it on me. I did right click & copy it about half way through, but it's not letting me paste that now either.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That's taken me an hour to do! Arrrrrrgh! I'm sorry, but I've just not got the time or energy to do it all again. I could scream at this PC sometimes.

PP are you completly sure its the wrong colour?? I did a chart before that said it was brown but it was most def a grey/green I had been given to use. It actually didn't look out of place once i'd stitched around it.

chicky-- its just a computer generated chart not a kit so im buying in my own skiens as i go...
dmc3031 - anchor 842 - mocha brown vry dk (this is what the chart says)


842 is a light grey greeny colour... and as for it working out to be ok.... im going crossed eyed looking at the chart..... and u still cant see what its meant to be from the stitching.... not even in the slightest....:(

Hi PP - I've been using conversion chart most of the night and im totally boggle eyed now. Had a quick check of the nos you mentioned and dmc 3031 = anchor 905. If this to messes things up for you just forget I have said anything. Its getting late and I think I need my bed.

Can I ask a question please Anchor or DMC??? Trying to build up my threads and thought I would concentrate on one or the other - probably have more DMC atm but not that many in the scheme of things.

Just started WOCS and seems quite good so far - got the 5 for £5. Might look around to see what offers are around when these finish.

Also got the Margaret Sherry bookazine - like this too. Doing some of the xmasy things.
