    Hi ladies.

Not been on all day as hubby is on 2 week hols from work so we went out shopping. Didn't get the item we originally went for but got lots of other stuff :D

Anyway, here's my 2 week update.
    Photo-0003-6.jpg

    Today,
    Photo-0002-7.jpg

As hubby is here for 2 weeks I'm not sure I'll get much stitching done but we'll have to wait and see.

    Here's my answers,

Aida or Evenweave - what's your favourite fabic count to work on?
I don't have a favourite as I am a kit stitcher so do whatever it asks for.

You have a £10 gift voucher (and that's all!) for stitchy stash - what do you buy?
A couple of kits from ebay.

    What's your favourite stitching subject?
You have all seen my fav kit list and how my tastes vary so I wouldn't say I have a fav subject. I do like houses but as of yet I haven't actually stitched one.....unless you can count a cover kit I once done, it's about an inch square :rotfl:

What subject do you dislike stitching?
Haven't found one yet as everything I have stitched has been my own choice.

Who was the last person you stitched for and what was the occasion?
The Rennie mack sampler for hubby and I. Before that I stitched the Fairies for my Mum's 60th.

I spent all weekend stitching as really not well enough to leave the house again. One more treatment on 7th September then I hope to get a little bit of my life back.

Wishing you all the best Biker :)

hi everyone thank you so much for all the ideas and offers of ;) but i have made my mind up or hubby has :rotfl::rotfl: he loves the one of the wee bub that pennib put up so thank you for that :D and as luck has it im now bidding on one on ebay that finishes in just over two hours so fingers crossed guys for me please. Dont suppose you know what colour threads i need pennib so i can see what i have and need to get thread wise please :)

wohoo won the chart for a grand total of 50p :)

Goodness, 50p a stupendous bargain....mine cost a lot more than that but worth it:T

There is a lot of different browns which will get you cross eyed BUT keep at it! The back stitch brings it all together. (I thought it was going to be difficult to do but was quite easy)

These are the DMC nos. 434;435;436;437;632;712;738;739;3064;3772.
Plus 642;3781 for backstitch. Or you could convert the colours to either Anchor or Madeira.

I stitched mine on 14 count aida. But I don't know what the size came out as.
The original design is in 28hpi evenweave over two threads. Design area for that is 25cm x 22cm.

When I put the last stitch in I said never again.......until I did the backstitch and saw how nice it had come out:D
    Hope that helps you.
(There is a finished framed piccy of it on h'page somewhere)

  • Hellooo everyone - been rather busy this last week but will try to catch up with you all.

Aida or Evenweave - what's your favourite fabic count to work on?

Quite often do kits - so just use whatever is supplied. I do like appearance of evenweave if the material can be seen.

You have a £10 gift voucher (and that's all!) for stitchy stash - what do you buy?

Possibly some fabric - just in case I get the urge to start something :D

    What's your favourite stitching subject?

    I enjoy most things

What subject do you dislike stitching?

Anything with loads and loads of back stitching - even though it does really bring the piece alive

Who was the last person you stitched for and what was the occasion?

I have done the September flower from WOCS (I think) for my cousins birthday - will post pic when I have made it up. Now moved onto xmas cards - on with Margaret Sherry cuddly snowman.

Collecting mount for Cottage Garden tomorrow so will hopefully get that framed up soon. Wow aren't mounts pricey - or is it just me being a bit stingy. Just used our local artshop - can anyone recommend anywhere on internet where I might be able to save a few pennies.

Decorating at home at the moment so everything is upside down - why is it the whole house is a total mess cos we are decorating one room.

Best wishes bikerchick - hope all goes well for your next treatment.

Will try to post some pics this week.

    Take care everyone
