I have sent a message back and she wants to meet up and talk about things. What bothers me is she could have told me how she felt on Saturday but I didn't have a clue as she was all smiles to my face. Thank you all for your support. I feel like the worst friend at the moment but also the worst daughter as I struggle to find the time for my mum. I am able to spend some time with her tomorrow. I'm hoping things will become less hectic in September as I finish my current job which was temporary and go back to my old job. I haven't done any stitching since Sunday :(.

Hopefully you will be able to work things out with your friend. I'm sure if she is anything of a true friend she will understand the position you are in. Hope all goes well for your Mum and that you get yourself some stitchy time soon ;)

Can I ask a question please Anchor or DMC???

    DMC every time :j

They seem to be the most common ones used for charts. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to convert an anchor thread list in order to stitch something.

cant for the life of me understand why I cant just copy the picture like I used to but this is a pic of the birth sampler I created for my gorgeous nephew.

Apologies for not posting for ages but my family are Martin fans too and I really wanted to keep it a surprise.

I gave it to them on Saturday and they loved it.

Hugs to you all, especially chicky.

  • Hi PP - I've been using conversion chart most of the night and im totally boggle eyed now. Had a quick check of the nos you mentioned and dmc 3031 = anchor 905.

yea thats the conclusion i came to, but most the colours seem to be just slightly off, not true to the conversion chart im looking at but seem to be close enough, but i dont know if using the true conversion of that partiular olour will then make it look wrong because everything else is done slightly off..... i dont know if that makes sense. it probably doesnt.
I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!
