Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 ..... part 2

Hi everyone, I have been reading this thread and drooling at your work. I used to cross stitch about 5 years ago but havent picked it up since. I started with a pretty piece I was making for my nan who sadly died so i put it in a box promising I would finish it when I could look at it without feeling upset. I then made a winne the pooh and eyore for ds2 and tigger for my sd. After reading this thread and feeling inspired would love to make one for ds3 too hopefully in the same range. I think they are about 7" by 9", anyone who could point me in the direction of something similar or anywhere selling some cheaply I would be eternally grateful.
I am sorry to read about the problems some of you are having and hope you are getiing comfort from venting on here.
Cant wait to get started now. Where does everyone find the kits to be the best place to buy from, looked on ebay but they still seem very expensive, saying that it has been about 5 years since I bought anything, used to be able to get some great stuff in the Boyes sale. Closed down about 5 year ago now, anyway i would love to join if you will have me. Will post a pic of my completed projects and my UFO.

Hi Lupyloo. I get a few of my little kits from H*bbycraft and also got my next big project from there in the sale. If you subscribe to their emails when they have sales coming up they'll email you.
Hope that helps and well done on picking up your needle again.
Happy x stitching.

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd show you what I did last week - its the freebie threads/patterns from WOXS. I found the thread really hard to use but like the effect!

 Hellloooo lupyloo and welcome to our merry little gang of xstitchers. There are some good offers on the mags if you can get them like 5 issues for £5. I have been getting World of Cross Stitching (WOXS) and have quite enjoyed that and I am about to start with Cross Stitch Crazy - I think I should get the first one later this week. Its a good way of trying them out - sometimes the freebies are better than others but at a £1 its not too bad - there is usually something the mag that takes your fancy. Oh forgot to say that if you are very very very good chickywiggle (our minder) will come along at some point and give you your very own number.
Love your flowers dizzy - the colours are gorgeous.
Love the snowman Observer - its really effective. I have that in my to do stack 'somewhere'.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
I have decided to reward myself "run tokens" so each time I go out, I award myself a token. each token worth a money value (to be decided) then when both runs are completed, I will treat myself to something nice (probably stitchy related!!)
Great idea with the tokens - I have slacked off a bit from the couch to 5k training since the summer hols ended and need to get back out there again.
Need to invest in something warm/waterproof but not too big and bulky for my early morning runs - any advice on where to look for suitable jackets (am trying to avoid flourescent yellow/pink ones as am trying to stay well hidden and my face is bright red enough as it is!)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
