Wow nmm, that dreams of atalntis is stunning, it would take me a decade to do that! wishing you lots of luck with that!
Blue-eyed-girl - Myrtle cottage looks lovelywell done.
Well, I have managed a bit more of on the beach (I promise pics will follow today lol) and it is starting to look a bit like the picture, so I must be doing ok!
I did take a bit of a break to enjoy the sunshine yesturday, felt odd for the 1st October to be sunning myself. On the downside though the hills near our house had a bush fire, which is a bit of a rarity this time of year. Luckily the fire brigade was there pretty quickly to stop it getting to far out of hand.
I have found time to make a necklace and bracelet for DD's christmas stocking, using up the leftover beads from her party bags, so technically it was freewhich went down well with DH lol.
Now to get a wriggle on with my stitching, the deadline is looming.
Hope you all have a stitchy sunday

b_e_g - *puts on stern face* don't you dare stay quiet for the rest of the day!!Loving Myrtle cottage, reminds me of OH's granny (RIP) - that was the name of her cottage, she was a fishermans wife and lived right at the harbour, lovely place.
We are off out to a local carvery with some friends, just need to dump the kiddies off at various places first - one off out to the cinema with his friends, one to the inlaws and one to my sisters......the logistics of having three kids is amusing sometimes lol

Hoping these two links work - these are my projects at the moment - hate the parrots find it really frustrating but love working on evenweave and find the snowmen aida really unforgiving. NOw waiting some MP bookmarks to turn up so i can crack on with them.0 -
Hi guys
How is everyone? I've been AWOL for about ten days and haven't yet had chance to read the 11 pages i've missedIf I'm missing something important I apologise!
Just popping in really to show you what I've been doing:
This was for my mums birthday. The design is part of one from a recent WOXS though the colours are nothing like right, they are just what I had, and also the stitiching is really inaccurate in places. But hey, who cares. Oh and if I had one I'd give a prize for finding the half stitch that is missing

This was also for a few reasons
a) to try stitiching on evenweave. Never used it before and after a bit of getting used to I do like it. Does have a nicer finish although a stretch on the eyesight at times!
b) to test my new daylight lamp. Its size is not perfect but is good for stitiching with when I have to do it inside in the manky non-summer weather
c) to test my new soluble pen. Again I like it but I'd be a bit worried about leaving it too long - does anyone have problems washing it out if its been on over a month? Also a bit thick I think as it bleeds a little into the other threads so I still get confused where my 10th hole was! But I will also use this again
d) to see how I like the mounting when pulling edge strands out. I like this method though I need to remember to leave more space at the edge - I'm bad for starting stitching too near the edge of fabric hence its not even
But anyway, I like it :rotfl:xxChallenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j

Evening all :j
Have had a really lazy day today which involved getting up at 9am (late for me!) (after a brief stumble down the stairs at 7am to feed furry alarm clock !!)
Had family party last night and handed over my stitched card ! so happy I didn't abandon after mishap and hope the recipient likes it.
Once bath/walk up paper shop/prepare curry for tea were done, I have done not very much today other than browse on the web and lay on the sofa and snooze ! and I still feel tired!!!
I was looking forward to starting a new project today and was excited about picking something but I haven't decided on what I want to stitch and haven't done any stitching.
I did try to watch Moulin Rouge but kept dozing off so I have watched the first 10 mins about 3 times and will save it to watch next weekend.
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. I can't comprehend this weather but it is certainly fab for getting the washing dry!0 -

23rd that's me. I haven't been on here for ages as I have been feeling really down and haven't been able to concentrate. I haven't done any cross stitch for ages - although I did manage to wind 100bobbins the other day. I actually think I hit a wall with the tiger when I couldn't see the symbols (I have had 2 eye tests and both are completley different, been prescribed varifocals costing over £300 - needless to say I can't afford them) and then seemed to spiral down from there. Felt I was leaving my mum down by not being able to stitch.
Seeing your comments has made me realise that I need to get off my fat a**e and finish the tiger so that I can start something I want to do. Thank you for the kick - I needed it.
Will try to catch up with the thread, but over the last few pages there has been some lovely makes. well done everyone.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
