2. Delivery to an address
2.1
Parcelforce Worldwide undertakes to deliver to an address specified in the despatch documentation, not to a specific person.
2.2
If there is no-one present at the address then:
2.2.1
the Customer acknowledges and agrees that Parcelforce Worldwide may at its discretion attempt to deliver the Consignment to a neighbouring address within a reasonable distance of the delivery address; and
2.2.2
if this occurs, a Customer Contact Card shall be left at the specified address; and
2.2.3
the Customer agrees that such delivery shall constitute delivery to the address specified as the delivery address in the despatch documentation.
2.3
Parcelforce Worldwide does not undertake to intercept a Consignment in transit before delivery has been attempted.
2.4
Parcelforce Worldwide shall not be liable in respect of any Consignment delivered to the delivery address or other address specified by the addressee, where any person misrepresents his authority to receive a Consignment on the addressee’s or Customer’s behalf, or where Parcelforce Worldwide is delivering it in accordance with instructions from, or purporting to be from the addressee.
2.5
On delivery of a Consignment, Parcelforce Worldwide will request the person who accepts delivery (not necessarily the addressee in person) to sign an acknowledgement receipt, which may include signature by electronic means. Copies of such receipt shall be available for a period of six months from the date of delivery, subject to payment of the charge as then published.
2.6
Parcelforce Worldwide does not accept Consignments addressed to Post Office® boxes within the UK. Parcelforce Worldwide will only accept Consignments to post office boxes (or local equivalent) where the post office box is situated in a country, which is designated in the Retail Guide as being a country where such consignments are accepted.
There, that is the terms of delivery that either you are your sender signed up to.0 -
i agree with th op parcel farce are awfull, if i buy something off ebay and it has "pacel force delivery only" i know im gunna get mucked about. the CS is crap 2 will wait till a week later to answer your email and just say we see it is now with you. nevermind its days late. i had to drive from n'ton to cov twice at xmas in 3 days as they fcukd me about and i needed the stuff before the day of wait nearly a week longer.
twice thev've said to me "we'll drop it at the post office" then not bothered.
i'd like to know where the 97.whatever stat came from, my experence is 100% never on time and they talk out their harris(lie about not you being in), which thier own "self employed" staff has readly addmitted.
everything blogcast if you have the video i would go to watchdog as iy is illegal to write/forge someones sig parcel delivered or not.
Pepoe moaning about others venting should maybe check their motives in doing so. and stay off the vents bored. If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
Let me throw myself open here...
So for arguments sake my name is Joe Soap and I am waiting for a parcel from PF driver whos name is John Smith.
The delivery driver signs my name i.e. Joe Soap on the elctronic gizmo to say I have received it rather than signs his name John Smith to say he has delivered it.....
And that is OK?
Is this what the debate is about?
I think I am confusing myself..:cool:0 -

Yep you got it. And the legalities of that signature, i.e. by signing it as such he was forging your signature, even though he gained nothing from it!0 -

rightly so, but we are honst people now like pf employees.0 -
So what if he accidentally took it to the wrong house and they kept the package?
You would claim and they would say Joe Soap signed for it.
Totally out of order.0 -
getting back on track.....
Finally spoke to someone at the depot who wasn't a total moron. It will be delivered tomorrow and I have the personal assurance of the delivery manager (whatever that is worth) that they will call me to let me know it's on it's way.
Apparently they do have a spare runaround van which they can do emergency deliveries/ fix !!!! ups etc but no drivers around for the rest of the day to do it. I was told that had I rung earlier they probably would have been able to do something but as it's getting late now they can't as they have no drivers. Um, did I not call at 10am this morning? And again at 12.30? and again at 2.30? And then finally at 3.30 to speak to a supervisor?
I have completely run out of energy to try and kick up a fuss anymore this afternoon as it's virtually certain I won't get my parcel today.
mpython & smcaul kindly gave me the contact details of the HQ and who I need to speak to, so if it doesn't turn up tomorrow I will be back on the phone! Dread to think of how much of my day I've wasted today holding on that 0870 number, ok so it was from the work phone but imagine if I had to call from home or my mobile and stump up for the charges myself.
I have well and truly learnt my lesson and will go out of my way never to deal with parcelforce again. Not only is their delivery service appalling (er- central london office delivery address, fully staffed reception - and 'no-one at home'?! You be the judge) but the customer services just really couldn't care less.0 -

use 01908 687249 to ring pf, or use 0800 reverse and get the to pay for the call.
Number is linked to rip off 0870 8501150 number found on http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php0 -
smcaul wrote:Unfortunately you get what you pay for, if you want top spec service then like everywhere else you have to pay for it, but that would then probably mean the cost of postage would be far in excess of the item.
Yes, how dare you expect the parcel to turn up.
You should have used the Super Duper Double Platinum Delivery Service.
Use of this service means you receive the package (but the driver will sign your name to save you the bother)0
