I guess as they are desperate to get the loan for whatever the emergency is.

That's understandable I suppose - If you need a 'leg stretching operation' or a new '3D TV for your 6 year old to be cool in the playground' then you really do have to have it NOW, rather than save up for it.
  • They are a complete con. They basically told me that I had been accepted and gave me the amount I would be paying back including the Apr rate they then proceeded to take their administration fee only to be told that I had two options and was now up to me to apply. The first one gave me options with very high repayments and then refused me. The second one did not even know me or know Loan Solutions and they were then just another broker. Then I went back to Loan Solutions and they refused to refund me the administration fee. So I went back to Halifax Bank to get them to claw the money back and they refused. Really annoyed and upset.

So having read the other posts on this thread, hopefully you are not going to sit on your jacksie and do nothing, but are going to do what others have said you need to do to get your money back. Don't be annoyed and upset, get even!

Yes, they are 2 examples of the absolute need for a loan irrspective of the apr and lender.
  • Been receiving calls on a daily basis from this mob (Loans Solutions Direct) and decided to speak to then just now. Guy said 3k would be in my ban in few hours and would be paying £110 per month over 3 years. Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I asked him to call me back and have checked reviews online about them. When queried about bad reviews and up front payment he said that was a different company (Loans Solution) and there was no up front charge. When i said i was recording and was wary about giving my details he started to get angry asking whether i wanted to go ahead or not. When i said not to bother he just told me to f*ck of and hung up. Anyone know if they are actually a different company? Nice one agent Lee
  • My advice is to COMPLETELY AVOID this company. Based on my experience they are a just a call centre full of commission only sales people brokering applications and passing your data on to all and sundry. I applied for a loan and was told that is was accepted and the money had been reserved. I was told that I needed to pay a fee of £90 to complete the application. I asked if the loan was definitely agreed or if there were any other criteria that might prevent me from having the loan. I was told absolutely not. My application had been approved and there were no other conditions. Delighted I paid the fee.

I couldn't believe it when the forms came through from a company called "UK Credit" stating that I had been accepted for a guarantor loan (like Amigo loans). I don't have a guarantor and clearly the person at Loan Solutions named Russell had lied to me to get 'the sale" and obviously his commission.

Companies like Loan Solutions are parasites in my view, con merchants preying on the needy and naive. I have reported them and UK credit to the Office of Fair Trading and the Financial Ombudsman.

I will post my progress on here.

To get your refund write a letter requesting it as per the terms of conditions.

This company's website is in the name of loansolutionsdirect.co.uk
  • I have recently accrued some debts and although they are just about manageable i was considering getting a consolidation loan to lower my monthly outgoings with one affordable bill, around the same time i received an advertising email from Loan Solutions and after a quick read thought they looked ideal, there was even a 'apply now' button on the email.

After clicking you are directed to their website where you can do an online application or leave your details for someone to contact you, i had someone call me back. After a quick chat and a nice short questionnaire i was approved for a loan, £3000 over 3 years for around £167 per month and i wouldn't even need a guarantor!
Although this would work out higher than a building society loan i accepted their offer because of the convenience.

Loan Solutions don't actually give loans themselves but claim a commission for getting you a loan with a third party, as i had given all my details on the phone and as they'd given me a repayment figure i was under the impression that a loan provider would contact me with a loan of £3000 over 3 years for around £167 per month for consolidation of my debts as discussed with the rep from loan solutions, unfortunately this is not what happened.

The first thing that happened was Loan Solutions took their £84.99 commission from my account, i didn't mind this as this meant there had to be a loan coming my way if they'd earned a commission(?)
Then came the texts and phone calls from the loan providers, small problem was there wasn't a £3k loan over 3 years at £167 per month, there was however £257 per month paybacks over 3 years and 'we don't do consolidation loans' and non approval of loans when i filled in the missing information that they hadn't been supplied with even tho i had already given it to Loan Solutions and others like Amigo that require guarantors and numerous others that offered me varying amounts.
    But in short no loan.

I didn't think i was expecting too much, i knew the repayments where higher than the average bank/building society and i'd quickly read through their terms of business that as i look back again now say 'we're gonna mug you'. i don't expect freebies but if i pay for a service, internet based or not, i expect the service not just having my name added to an email spam list and passed on.

Your email address was already on a spam list, but you clicked on a random spam email and fell for it.

You are NEVER going to receive anything out the blue and find it to be to your benefit.

    STOP clicking on random emails.
