What shakes me is that anyone should think that 34.9% is 'good'! Maybe they did you a favour by not finding you a loan at that rip off interest rate. You should be able to do much better than that for a loan of £3,500.
I suppose that it depends on the circumstances. Years ago I borrowed £1,000 at 40% APR to buy a motorbike, so that I did not have to live in Farnbrough, where my new job was. Twelve months at £100 per month seemed a fair price to let me spend that year somewhere a bit nicer.0 -
All,
I have spent much time in the last 2 days trying to get my refund after paying the fee and realising you then receive no service. I felt a mug for paying them but would have felt more of a mug if I did not get it back.
Firstly, notify your bank asap, they should look at this terrible company that has conned you in a sympathetic light. Persevere with the bank as I spoke to one person at Natwest who was useless and one who was brilliant.
Natwest set up a 3 way conference call and Loan Solutions accepted to give me a refund immediately. They requested I e-mailed them and then they would pay me back.
See the e-mail I sent below, happy for you to use this - I hope you get your money back. Once you do, ring up their 'new application' team and muck them around. Don't abuse them as they will put the phone down but keep asking silly questions! I will be doing this and it will make me feel I have won! Good luck
Dear Sir/madam,
I request that you refund my fee of £79.99 that I paid at 14:00 on Monday 26/11.
I have not received an e-mail from Loan Solutions as I was informed that I would between 16:00 and 17:30 on 26/11. Therefore, no introduction to a lender has occured, the service that I requested and paid for has not been fulfilled.
I have tried to call Loan Solutions numerous times in the last two days. I have not been able to speak to any company representative as the phone number that I call from appears to have been blocked by Loan Solutions. For this reason I contacted my bank, Natwest and had a 3 way conference call this morning. It was explained on the call at 09:30 on 28/11 that my refund will occur within the next 30 days. I expect to receive this within 30 days.
If I do not receive this within 30 days, I will be taking legal action without notice. 'Failing to return fees in excess of £5 when a consumer does not take up a loan or enter into an agreement within six months of an introduction to a lender, for whatever reasons, contrary to section 55 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974'.
Please reply to this mail to acknowledge receipt of my request. If any information is required please contact me.

Do the T&C's say to email or write ?
I suspect you need to write to them so type a letter out, its easy to do 1 and post it.0
