Perhaps try to understand it too...

Never saw steves response. But you say ignore the contract and support them.

Comment on the sex offender in a nursery please. tell me how that fits in with your view that sacking because of bringing the company bringing the company into disrepute is so wrong??????

I remind you your view is employ them until charged by a court if they do not plead guilty.

Perhaps you need to learn the different meanings between the word that you employ, namely 'support', and the word that I employ, being 'suspend'.

I should imagine for most decent places, suspension, then the sack if found guilty. I think you see it with teachers for example, they are suspended first.

Good idea! The Malaysian guy has been so dignified and I can't believe he is so calm about it, nor that he wants to stay here to finish his studies.

One can only imagine that Malaysia is an absolutely terrble place.

(Which is not how I'd imagine it, frankly)

Congratulations you have just supported a person who killed two children while over the Drink Drive limit and a convicted sex offender.

One even admitted guilt before court.

You should think long and hard about your life and how crime effects others.

Imagine the pain it would cause the parents of the dead children should the player keep his job until court.
Don't worry innocent until proved even if you are pleading guilty!
    Sick TBH.

Is that your real case you are referring to? did you miss the 'unless pleading guilty' part of my post?

So you find guilt by accusation to be acceptable, rather than the justice system. 'The comany' is doing what is best for them? Sounds like the same mentality as the rioters.

The salesperson accused of drink-driving could be suspended, perhaps given a desk job. If they are found guilty, then they could be dismissed.

Perhaps they could do a desk job accused of raping children.

Why should a company fund someone for getting into trouble regardless?

A company is not responsible for these people and do not have to pay them if they have commited an illegal act.

It is on charge not allegation, it would need to be fairly strong to get charged, the odd one may be wrong but that is when they could ask for their job back or sue if need be if the company did wrong?

Don't lots of people go on 'gardening leave' - this could be for any reason: theft, fraud, sexual harrassment, poor work, an affair with a colleague even....

It was not an answer to your post, as I said above I never saw your post.

But why should an employer pay for someone EG the recent nursery case until they get jailed?

It is not the company's fault for the charged persons actions.

Infact the company did the right thing and wound it'self up for employing them.

Your posts make false accusations and highlight all that is wrong with simply relying on accusations as a basis for intermediary action.

Correct that is an option. An unpaid option and more the correct way of doing things if blame is debatable.
