I don't think I can ever go out again. I went to a concert last night so no MSE and I had 14 pages of comps to catch up on today. I started at 6 and have only just finished. There's just time to do all the daily comps before I go to bed.

Thanks to everyone who's been posting them - especially kipper who's definitely been working overtime today.

I know the feeling. I am never bored now though. :rotfl: :rotfl: If i have nothing else to do there is always 200 plus comps to catch up on.... I guess we don't miss many which is great.

As I've had a few people begging to know how I achieved the subject autofill mentioned here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=405883 I thought I'd share it with everyone as I finally sussed out how to display the code for you to copy and paste.

I found all this info at http://www.pageresource.com/html/mail.htm and wish to share it with you all as a means to help other members when a competition entry would be invalidated by not filling in the email correctly.

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE ISSUES WITH DISPLAYING THIS CODE HERE CORRECTLY SO USE THE ABOVE LINK AS A GUIDE NOTING THE ARROW THINGS AND THE A AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF YOUR CODE.

Here's an example of one that will create an email to compemail@comp.com, with the email subject filled in as 'This Competition', the email body displaying 'Answer: This is the answer' and a new paragraph with a reminder to provide your name, address, dob and email address.

Note that anything after the email address is optional except

as you need to CLOSE the link. Of course noting what I mentioned in BOLD above! You can replace 'click here' with anything you want your link to be displayed as. You could use the same code above but leave out the &body=...... which would leave just an email with a subject filled in and NO EMAIL BODY

EDIT: If you need to add an apostrophe into the subject the only way to do so is instead add

%27

As you'll see in the first code I've also discovered there's a way to specify the body of the email too. This means we can also make the email autofill the ANSWER along with maybe a reminder of extra things required (ie DOB, confirmation of age etc) that if missing will invalidate the entry. If you grasp the above method .. then the email body bit you just add straight after the subject and before the

">

If you need to put extra stuff in like reminders of DOB etc then just force a new line with

%0D%0A

and a new paragraph with the same again

%0D%0A%0D%0A

Hope all that's not too technical. We'll it is very technical really but I hope I've helped a few understand and I'll alter the post to make it even clearer if need be. Feel free to PM me for further help.

I found the instructions HERE which seem to be easy to follow so I have just been copying and pasting the section and altering the bits that I need to make it work for the competition I am posting

Boo hoo, DD has to have an operation tomorrow. Her friend accidentally jumped on her hand on the trampoline last night. Result = broken and wonky finger. She has to have a general anasthetic so they can manipulate it back into place then bandage it up with splints. I'm sure everything will be fine, just feel really sorry for her.

Hope everyone's having a bit more luck than us.

aww strepsy im sure she will be fine , kids are tough little beggars , and good luck and bad luck have to balance themselves out so im sure your in for a cracking win

Ah poor dd. She will probably be more ok about it than you as she will have a big fuss made of her in hospital.

Thanks everyone, I'm a bit calmer about it now. Therapeutic effect of competition entering no doubt. lol. I've still got about a page and half left to do actually, but I'm nodding off. Night all.
