feel a bit daft, but where will i find these links?
:embarasse0 -
I signed up to The Prizefinder a little while ago and got regular newsletters about comps etc. I quite liked their ' Closing soon' section where I would go if I had a spare 5 minutes and enter comps that were closing that or the next day.
Yesterday I tried to visit the website and all I got was a ' This Domain may be for sale ' page.Does this mean The Prizefinder is no more, if so it's a real shame as I found it very user friendly, easier to use than Loquax but obviously not up to MSE standards!
Anyone heard anything on the compers grapevine etc.?When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
I have been entering comps for a while now and only sometimes read the T&C's. At the Sony Cybershot Monthly Photo comp I decided to read all the T&C's and found this
"In consideration of the promoter making the competition available to you, you hereby irrevocably and unconditionally (i) grant to the promoter and its assignees and licensees all consents which are or may be required under Part II of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and any statutory modifications or re-enactment thereof for the exploitation of the Entry, through the universe, in perpetuity, by any and all means and in any and all media now or hereafter known or devised; "
I give up all claims for ever and on every planet in the universe!!Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00 -

Don't feel daft. All th comps are listed in this thread as E: expiry date and then the prize. If you click on that thread it will give you the links, usually the answer and tell you any unusual terms and conditions. Good luck.0 -
Lo- bush the owner of compers grapevine posts on here. If you put a post on the main board, she will probably get in touch with you.0

:rotfl: :rotfl: Wow! I didn't know there was an actual Compers grapevine, I was just using the phrase. What happens on there, is it like MSE or like Loquax etc.
Thanks for your help, but apparently yesterday was a glitch:TWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
Hi I actually phoned Vimto + followed up with a strict email to their customer services laying down the law on the data protection act the same day as the "Vimto technical hitch"
The following morning the offer for a free case of Vimto arrived - not sure if I can take credit.
If everyone on the list claims a case of vimto then it will cost them quite a bit.
These things happen but I don't think we can do much now - as they have stated they have put a fix in place.
If however it happens again then we would be rightly placed to take them to small claims court to claim damages for inapproriate security of our email addresses
