Hello!
I could have sworn I was entering answers in for two magazines a week before but there seem to be so many now. So I don't confuse myself, what magazines are we entering?, I have entered (I think)
That's life (by text)
Take a break (by text)
Real people (by email)
Chat (online)
Puzzler.co.uk (online)
(Pickmeup) (online)
(Pickmeup puzzler)
Are there more on here like that? I tell ya, I'm well impressed with these & the people posting the answers / maintaining threads:D:D :beer:

There's Pick Me Up and there's Pick Me Up Puzzles which I post but that's monthly.
Edit: Oh yeah, I've been posting Full House too.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -

I can't believe how many comps have been posted today. I stayed at my sons last night, and had done them all, got back here about 4pm, and it has taken me until 9.30 to catch up again..
I have thanked everyone that I have posted, but would like to say an extra big thanks to all who have been slaving away posting.
I would put it at the end of each comp, but then I would have to find them all again as posting bumps them up to the top of list again ~ if you see what I mean.
Plus I keep getting time out every now and again.
I think that I may have sussed out how to keep a check on what I have entered. I was booking marking the actual competitions on the sites, but now I am only bookmarking the page that they are on on MSE. Into a folder ending in whatever month ~ I'll see how that goes.0 -
As previously talked about above, some members are creating threads for competitions that have previously been posted - and they get offended when we post the awful 'Posted HERE' link.
I think If a comp has already been posted, we should reply something like 'While We appreciate your effort, this competition has already been posted here' - It shows both thanks for posting, and also advises them that It has been posted before...It comes across less agressive than replying with 'Posted HERE'0 -

If I'm in a rush I'll just write the basics, I barely have time to enter all the comps and find a few to contribute in return so don't always have time to explain everything on every thread.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -

I think this is the difficulty. Regular posters are quite stretched. Being asked to do more puts them under pressure. It is a bit like Millwall's post on registration the other day. It was a good idea, but it is yet another demand on the posters.
It is a difficult one because if everyone who used the forum committed to posting say 2 or 3 comps a day the regulars wouldn't be struggling to get everything posted.
I have tried to cut back to around 3 or 4 per day for three reasons: 1) in term time I am so pushed for time that any more is too much for me 2) I want to leave some comps to give other posters a chance. 3) I want time to contribute to the chat, help newbies and congratulate winners. Although, it does tend to be regulars like myself who know where to find the comps in the first place. There are no easy answers on this one really. I think as more people here gain comping experience the problem will sort itself out as the current regulars will need to post a lot less comps.0
