  • Hi all I am big fan of the competitions forum but one thing when people post can they but in title block if you need to be registered.I only enter competitions that you don't need to register on so it will save me time opening them and I am sure it save others time too.

Many thanks and keep up the great work :)

  • Will try to bear in mind, but the only problem is, the title bar isn't long enough once you have entered the expiry date, and what the comp, consists of.

Why don't you enter the ones you have to register for? (just curious)

Quite a few of the sites that are posted regularly on here store your details so you don't have to enter username or password. I often have probs trying to get all the prize details into the bar, especially if its gig tickets at a venue in London.

Maybe we could use a code, like "R" after the exp date to indicate need to be registered?

I always put if its a log in or register competition after I've done the click here bit, people are going to look at the thread if they are interested so I put it in the post as opposed to the actual title

I'm not so keen on registering for things left right and centre and like millwalll just like the quick entry ones :)

You know what I wouldn't mind if this was someone like Kipper making the suggestion but I don't think I've ever seen a competition you've posted, never even noticed your name on peoples thanks tbh, though I may be wrong of course. And you just want it made even easier. Yes let's start using R, I'll put it on every post to give the regulars and the contributors more of a chance.

TBH I don't think it makes much difference whether you have to register or now. Filling your details in on a registration form is the same as filling them in on a comp entry so it takes roughly the same time to do both. Then all you have to do next time is log in.

I agree with Strepsy's comment though about not ever seeing your presence on the comps board. It would be nice if you pressed the thanks button now and again, or does that take up too much time too?

Oh and I realise I don't personally post many comps but it's not for the want of trying. I can never find any that havn't been posted before :o

here here , i think it is a bit cheeky to be asking people who spnd a lot of time searching and posting comps for everyones benift to make it easier for you , is it not easy enough with all the info that is included in these posts , i too dont submit as many comps as i would like but that is not through want of trying , everyone is so much better at finding them and tbh most posters put in whether you have to register etc

I am afraid some people want their cake and eat it. It is very time consuming posting competitions ~ I know I've tried, and nearly always find that I've missed something off ~ finding answers is also very very time consuming. They don't just appear. I think you should just be grateful to anyone who has spent their time posting any competition ~ I always thank people, even the ones who have duplicated a post (we all know what the search is like!!!!).
We are all so lucky to have a site with such unselfish people on who are willing to shorten their odds of winning by sharing ~ if only the rest of life was like this, we would live in a far better world.
