Competitions Discussion Thread

I was wondering how many competitions people generally have in their local papers. I can only ever find 2 in my main one - one is always sport related (and a couple of weeks back even that required you to have a season ticket to the local football club) which doesn't interest me at all, and then one more which tends to be a hotel stay/spa/day out. Is that stingy or normal? If it's not normal I'll pick up another couple of the local papers for surrounding areas to see if they're any better.

On Loquax they have user to user comps where you can set up your own comp for an unwanted prize and I have given a couple of little things away that way, but I would rather give them to MSE'ers.

Mine are awful too Soozy. One of them just has comps with premium rate text numbers and the other hardly ever has one. There was one for Jimmy Carr tickets in the last one so I gave it a go but that's the first one in weeks.

Just wondered when do these get put in game over? like is it a week or two or random. Just wondered if there is a way around this like putting a date say two weeks or so after it is posted on here. But then again sometimes there is an end date, just that people can't find it and then the OP would have to edit their post which not everyone can do. Also there would be fake end dates on a load of comps.

Also, I just looked and there are some which haven't ended yet which are in Game Over??
