Anyone heard of Club la Costa?

Got a phone call today saying I had 'won' a holiday

4 airline tickets
7 nights luxury accommodation
Flights from all major UK airports
The cost is just £29.50p p/person to cover admin fees.

when they phoned back they said I had to phone a free phone no and then it turns out to claim I have to go to leeds to pick up the tickets and then i will be given £50 in high street vouchers for attending a meeting about holidays before i am given my tickets...

I asked the woman on the phone if ity is just time share which it obviously is and she said 'all we want you to do is have a listen to our presentation you are under no obligation'

Just wondered if anyone else had had a similar phone call or offer and if you entertained it for even a minute or just didn't bother....

(Think I'm just desperate to win something ((still waiting for my first win!!!))and am grabbing at straws even thinking about it!!! )

Look forward to hearing any oppinions on the subject.

Can someone please explain to me in simple how you do the fancy couple of word link thing. I didn't understand the last explanation about draggin urls to the world thing. Can someone run me through it

Ok take your top link there. If you copy that, press 'ctrl + c' then click on the little world icon box above your post window, then paste 'ctrl + v' into the window it pops up you should then have something that looks like this: (I've put spaces in so you can see).

So now you can see that there is two links the same. On the second link just highlight it and then type in whatever you want. For example 'this is how'.

So now when you take the spaces out it leaves you with this:

I have also had a phone call today from clc saying that i had 'won a holiday' : and did a search on line from what i read i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, be very careful!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:

Does anyone think that a thread offering unwanted prizes would be allowed on here, as sometimes it would be nice to give them to a fellow MSEer when you can't claim a prize.

On Loquax they have user to user comps where you can set up your own comp for an unwanted prize and I have given a couple of little things away that way, but I would rather give them to MSE'ers.

I think that's a great idea. It would be another thing to help build our sense of community here.
