Hi Twink and CCStar
We are supposed to be travelling up to Aberdeen either next weekend or weekend after. Don't agree with global warming but hoping weather will be OK for our journey!
I remember so much sledging when I was wee and kids were wee and now we hardly have any snow - alltough I hate driving in it when it is here!

Oh and on the cream egg front - they were out in my local co-op the day after Boxing Day:eek:
Our Tesco has a small "Easter Treats" aisle - it's a right next to the discontinued christmas stuff bit so I'm guessing that as time goes on there will be more Easter and less Christmas. Had a rather nice Finest yule log for 60p for pud last night - dd was amazed as we rarely have puddingI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Good Evening All - Hope we are well
big ((((hugs)))) to CCstar & Tink you both are having a rough time, hope things improve for you...chin up!
Shez I never heard of DONNY Tourette from BB, as catowen said, he used to go out with Peaches Geldoff, he fronts the band called Tower of London, or is it the other way round! but to say the least - he is a bit of a N*B for my liking. Its early days I know, but I think Leo Sayer is a sweet man. Wander what tonight will bring ref this family coming in, "Who knows - you decide"
Hello Michelle, Cant believe Charlie is 11wks, time flies,
I had a text from my OH this morning whilst I was at work, cos of the security light which was left on all night, over the back to us, I couldn't sleep, so he slept downstairs. The dog was snoring. the hamsters was busy in their wheels, and one of the cats was knocking things off the windowsill in the kitchen, he gets up to find it was DLB's cat, OH must have startled him (who would tho at 5am - lol) and the cat struggled to get out the cat flap. Bless him - the cat - not OH - lol
Had busy day at work, Manager was off, and left the other girl was left in charge again. Who again did nothing for the first 2hrs. She kept repeating how many calls there was to make - I said you'd best crack on with them then! I was going to stay 1/2 to make up for finishing early yesterday, but I had a problem call which took me over my time, so ended up doing the full hour. At least I dont owe them any time now.
Got home to find a letter posted thru door, from the council, they attempted to pay me a vist ref this court business, I rang them up and told them I'd allready advised them Im not available til 4pm during the wk. Ive now got to pay them a visit during the wk.
Ive collected my breadmaker from freecycle, Ive not used it yet, but it looks like a good one. Russel Hobbs - digital, with the original receipt of costing just over £100. At least it came with destructions - erm I mean instructions.
Kids are with their dad for the wk end. So my time will be busy clearing out the wardrobe and listing on e-bay, I have 9 items listed at the mo, 3 wil deff sell. They end later in the wk.
Best go, and sort out the WM, and put the kettle on
Have a good evening all

Evening folks
Well I've just taken down the decs, disassembled the Christmas tree, ordered those recipe books off The Book People via Quidco (not to mention about 6 OTHER books) and am now sitting down with a nice chilled beer.
The beer is soothing my still-sore throat. It's one of those sore throats where the whole of the soft palate and back of the tongue feel raw and swollenStill, I feel a bit better about possibly having to pull out of singing this weekend - I phoned my best friend earlier, who I haven't spoken to for a couple of weeks, and it turns out he has got the same thing and has already opted out of the concert we were both singing in - he was supposed to be a soloist!
Anyway I will wait until tomorrow morning to decide whether or not I am fit to do it. I need to get up bright and early as I have a Freecycler due to arrive sometime between 8 and 9:30 to pick up my old hoover. Then depending on how motivated I am feeling (i.e. if I am out of my dressing gown, showered etc, by a reasonable hour!) I will be off to Halford's to see if I can find a decent bike in the sale.
Edit: oh yes, and I got home from work to find that I'd left the heater on in the living room all last night and today  I wonder how much that will have cost me! Still, it's a thermostat-type electric heater, so hopefully the temperature has stayed constant enough so it hasn't actually had to be ON all that much.
Hope everybody's having a good evening (and welcome to Gemmzie!)

evening all
youngest dd has gone to a sleepover after school. She took a change of clothes for tonight, her nightie, toothbrush etc, change of clothes for tomorrow, all her dr who dvds and cards, her new magic set - oh and the carton of 300 flying saucers that my mate gave her for christmas - she looked like a tortoise this morning with all of this stuffed into her Daddy Weekend bag.
the aforementioned Daddy has turned up at mine to take me out for a meal and discuss his money woes - He got both moneysaving books for christmas from me but hasn't read them because he knows this stuff already apparantly - yeah right that's why he takes home three grand, has nothing to show for it, and lives with his mum and dad. I have suggested weatherspoons for a beer and burger or two meals for £5.99 deal and he has agreed to slum it for the night ..... hmmm I wonder why we broke up in the first place.
booked a holiday today - yay - 4 nights dbandb at bognor butlins for me, 2dds and dgs for 160 quid - woohoo. Self catering would have been cheaper but me and youngest dd are veggie and there would have been dramas over meals. also figured we would spend more than the difference on buying overpriced food as we don't have a car to take loads with us. We have family in Holland, canada and new zealand so usually we use our holiday time and money to sit in foreign living rooms and this is the first holiday we've had to ourselves in years. :j :j :j
bought jeans from tescos - £7.50 and £10 and a coat from sportworld or whatever its called for £9.92. I think the coat is too small but dd says its because, unlike my charity shop finds, it actually fits and i'm not used to it. :rotfl:I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
