Roz, can't see much of what you have, so can I recommend tea bag pasta?
    Roz,

I don't suppose milky way spread sandwiches would could as a suggestion would it? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You're as bad as OH :p

I realise now that most labels are facing the other way  However, the things that need to be eaten quickly/soon are:
    • Caesar Salad Dressing
    • Wholegrain Mustard
    • Red Currant Sauce
    • Seafood Sauce
    • Pickled Red Cabbage
    • Half Jar of Passata
    • Pack of Unsmoked Streaky Bacon
    • Cheese (Feta and Wensleydale with cranberry)
    • Tub of Brandy Cream (extra thick)
    • Sundried Chillis
    • Fresh Veg: Apples, Fresh Chillis, Mushrooms, Lettuce, Potatoes in various guises (red, white & baking)
    • A cupboard full of onions
    • 3  bulbs of garlic

I'm off to be creative... cheese, onion and garlic topped baked potatoes with a side of redcurrant jelly anyone? :rotfl:

Hi Jen and welcome to the board:)

Oh yes I am also 42 and get the odd painful spot - ew

You're going to be living on Creme Eggs now DS is shopping

Have you decorated the cat too or is it just enjoying playing with them:D

Perhaps it is all the Creme Eggs I am eating.....

The bonus is that cat has stopped playing with the decorations because she has a new toy to play with..... the wrapper from a Creme Egg rolled up into a ball! Hours of fun for the cat and all for the price of a Cadbury's Creme Egg! See, knew there was a reason for buying them! Now THAT'S money saving (or at least my interpretation of it).:money:

Spot now the size of a Creme Egg  so I should soak my head in a bucket of tea tree oil.....

Am enjoying this thread. Thank you for making me feel welcome!

dlb probably depends where you are going, sometimes they do good specials in some places, we tend to go to these types of ones, drinks (inc soft drinks) coffee etc, are usually the bit that bumps the bill up a bit. Most expensive one me and DP ever went to our meal and drinks (non alcohol) came to £32 so you should be fine! (PS we haven't been back to that one since)
Hope you have a good time.

Think I am officially a non smoker today, lit one this morning which gave me an instant dizzy headache then I was sick, not touching one again!!!

:( Need to find my Tescos receipt and add my grocery spends, shouldn't have gone, ended up getting tempted with the special offers. But I did get the boots I resisted few weeks ago for £15 that were £40 when I was going to buy them, bought a caffetiere and some fresh organic coffee which I am sat supping now, it tastes lovely and there is a fab coffee smell in the house which I love.
One day I might be more organised...........

dlb - quite often you can do a set meal. Or, you can share a starter and just keep an eye on the cost of mains!

    Hope you enjoy.

So well done on the smoking! You can do it! I will be 4 years this 23rd January with only a couple of wee wrinkles. It means I can now spoile DGs (and the rest)! I remember when kids were wee I always had to make sure I had my Players No 6 money before I planned the meals -awful!!! Put money in jar to start with. I don't worry now but my bank balance certainly is healthier.

Keep it up - the big test is around about 3 months on or when you go for a really nice meal out with friends. I must say the non-smoking thing in public here in Scotland does help.

Love to everyone else and hugs where needed.

    Evening all.

Drove 2x40 mile round trips today to take dh's car for a service. In between that did a 2 hour walk with the dogs and dh. I must remember that dh's version of a slight hill and mine are 2 completely different things. Not only that but when he says that the downhill is just round the corner, I make him specify which corner. I must admit though that I felt absolutely wrecked when I got back but exhilirated. There was quite a wind blowing and it was feeling nippy but it certainly blew the cobwebs away.

Consequently, apart from a load of washing and some shopping, I haven't done much in the house today.

Twink - I'm not that far away from you really - in ross-shire.
At least you have Asda. I can't wait until they build one over here. At the mo its just Tesco, tesco and more tesco.

Well that's me away to cook the dinner - pork chops in a musheroom and creme fraiche sauce.

By the way, I got my first bottle of stardrops today (I'd read so much about it on the threads).

    Hi all

just sneaked on while DH goes to collect kids and buy himself some beer (no beer on my diet, oh no no)

Meal plan for next week complete. Ready to face supermarket at the weekend. Everything for saturday is coming out of the freezer. And last night I finally managed to use the tin of butterbeans which has been lurking for yonks (dunno why, I actually quite like the things, just never got round to eating them I s'pose)

Found I can listen to Garrison Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion" online - doh why didn't I think of it before. I love his books and now I can hear him.:D
