I still haven't received another bill and the last one was for up until and including 27th January 2012! I think our DD is correct but we are in credit because of having to pay a double DD for our first payment in December 2011.

Same here, our last bill was received in January or February. I'm tempted to switch back to Aitricity, since BE don't seem to know their a*se from their elbow.

    D.A.,

Don't be too hasty,I gather Firmus Energy are also going the electricity supply route soon.

Anyway,I hope they do as I'm also getting peed off with Budget now! After the top up sage,my card meter has now gone faulty, sometimes I have to unplug it three or four times to get it to work, anyway I reported it to BE the other day who asked me which one,the cream hand held one on the end of the extension,or the larger gray one fixed into the meter cupboard.
When I said it was the former,I was told the was nothing they can do as the NIE will charge to replace it,so I have to use the gray one...Which now means getting on my hands & knees with a torch to input the power code into the main part!

We got another bill from Budget Energy this morning, this time it is for up to the end of March 2012 (2 month bill rather than 3 months). It is an estimated bill and it is over estimated by 365 units! I got hubby to telephone Budget Energy but Sean said that there was no one in the accounts department until Monday so could he phone back then.

Power NI used to let you send in your own reading every quarter and then they sent you out a bill with that reading on it and the word "self" after the reading. I wish Budget Energy would do the same as both bills we have received from them have been over estimated. I will get hubby to phone on Monday and I'll let yous know how we get on because there is bound to be more people than us who would rather pay for what they are using! :money:

Just in case anyone is interested it has been a hectic week and hubby didn't get round to telephoning but he will on Monday.

Has anyone had their account and dd reviewed after being with Budget Energy for 6 months?

Just gotten off the phone with Budget after topping up & mentioned that is is getting to be a royal pain bot being able to top up with the card in my town & was told that as of today, you can use Pay Point to top up as well as Pay Zone.
Having checked their website I can see no mention of it,although the are 'recent news' articles from May,so it's not updated often...

Hubby phoned and was told by Josephine that the accounts department was engaged so to phone back in 10 minutes which he did. The second time hubby rang he got transferred to the accounts department and was told by the advisor called Brian that he would call him back as he could not find his bill even with his account number and bill reference number. Ten minutes later Brian telephoned back and said that he wanted the bill reading which my husband said he had emailed. Brian then said he would contact Power NI to verify that hubby did email a reading and that he would telephone hubby back on Friday to let hubby know "The next stage in the process". Hubby did state that when he signed up his monthly DD was supposed to be reviewed after 6 months but Brian said he had to go through each stage of the process and then he would see about amending the DD.

    HTH!
