Just called Budget to clarify why I got a copy of my previous bill.

Response was that they are changing their billing cycles to better align with the NIE Meter readings, and that I will get a second (current) bill within the next few days, and that all will make sense then.

So I will wait and see.:rotfl:

lol. So why send out the old bill then?!? Just wait before sending out the new bills to save paper and postage costs!

yeah the T&D (transmission and distribution) arm still read everyone's meters no matter who they are with.

Look forward to hearing their response.

Seems to me that they have made a bit of an error with the billing period / DD & possibly VAT

Confession time - I had made a mistake though I think you will understand why. My meter reading on 20th April was 61052 and the closing read on the bill for the estimated reading in January was 60152. Now what's the chance of that?:rotfl:

I had just been transferred to the Accounts department and was waiting for them to pick up when I spotted the 2 numbers were in fact different so I just hung up. :o :rotfl:

    Sorry for the confusion.

Hubby emailed Budget Energy on 25th April to see where the bill was and yesterday, 27th April, he got a response with a bill attached. The bill was from 28th November 2011 to 27th January 2012 and the person had came to read our meter on 21st March 2012. Can anyone make sense of why the person came to read our meter on 21st March if the bill was for up to 27th January and I would presume that the next bill is due on 27th April?!?

Last weekend we received a printed bill which was the same as the emailed bill, up until and including 27th January. The next bill should be dated 27th April but it still isn't here and I still don't know why our meter was read on 21st March!?!

Did anyone ever get their "correct" bill from BE? I just remembered that I never got anything through the post.

Might need to contact them tomorrow and see what's happening. Also I might ask them to review my DD amount, I think I am paying them too much per month and need it taken down by about £3-4 per month.

I didn't get my bill yet Robin. I think my DD might be a bit low. :(

I still haven't received another bill and the last one was for up until and including 27th January 2012! I think our DD is correct but we are in credit because of having to pay a double DD for our first payment in December 2011.
