when does your assignment have to be in Sunflower?

the 15th i think, which would be fine if i knew how to do it, but 2000 words on something i can't work out whatsoever is proving somewhat more difficult that i first percieved. i have been trying to do it since somewhere around the 13th of dec! haha

that was my problem i had, i had 2000 words on a subject i only vaguely knew about but as i started it yesterday it has become quite clear.

You still have a week or so, mine is in for tommorrow and i only started it yesterday.

Good luck with yours too! I quite often find myself in your situation thinking 'oh, it's fine, i'll get it finished before tomorrow' then majorly panic when it's 7pm the night before and i've spent the whole day doing nothing productive but watching repeats of jeremy kyle (which i like to believe is productive..)!!

My essay is on aphasia and communication basically. It's the worst assignment i've had to do so far! haha. what thrilling thing do you have to write about? haha

mine is on the study of Suicide by Durkheim.

''aphasia and communication'' lost me at the beginning.

Jeremy Kyle always keeps me away from doing my work, but i have just counted my words and i have 1671 not long to go, these last few hundred words are just dragging.

ooh, are you a sociology student? atleast yours sounds vaugely interesting!

just remember you are allowed to be 10% under or over which means you just have to make it to 1800! just write a conclusion and put it out of sight until you hand it in tomorrow!

Yep im a sociology student combined with criminology.

Yeh it is actually interesting, when you understand it.

the quicker that this gets doen the better, but im wandering elsewhere, hence why im on here. and Eastenders is on later .

I have got about 1000 words to write today. I do not understand any of the content. Flamming Degrees, why can they not teach you better so you will understand it?

My thoughts exactly, or write academic books that speak in plain English.

I think they don't teach you well enough, or in a language level that all students, more interested in sitting in the pub, can understand because they need us to fail so we can resit and keep them in a job! Also, if we dont understand the questions, they get they ever so lovable 'dear lecturer, i'm stuck, help me please!!' - you know they just want to feel needed and thats why they do it!
