I bet all those 'some people' would be women because I don't know of a bloke who would think that0 -
I was friends with an old snog from years ago for months on Facebook before I found out he was married. No pics, no mention from him or anyone on his wall, and referred to time with his son as if he lived apart from him - kind of 'I've got xxxxxx today' rather than just saying what he was doing.
I've since defriended him.....
But anyway, yeah if someone wants to lie about such stuff then don't underestimate the deviousness of people who are outwardly lovely.
As it happens though, doesn't sound to me like this bloke is married - if he was I suspect he would be more direct to you rather than bring A N Other into it in the form of your colleague.0 -
Op...come back........ :0)0

Lol! I think it might be sorted by tomorrow though. By nature i'm quite a direct person (when not held back by shyness) and i think my short amount of patience with the situation will have disappeared by tomorrow. I'm guessing it will either be a shirty phone call to ask if he wants to take me out or not, or will have decided to leave it alone.
did ya fone....im on tenderhooks here...(the exciting life that i lead..not!)

I've loved reading everyone's messages - thanks for the ideas!
Well, this morning i came into work and mentioned to colleague that i'd tried phoning last night. Then, while i was in the loo, guy rings the office and colleague tells him i'd tried ringing him last night. Apparently guy sounds sorry to have missed me and said to ask me to phone him if i'm free at lunchtime. So, we think more likely than not that he's single and i'm going to ring him later...0 -
Well guys, i rang him.
He said "i hear from (colleague) that you don't like going out with married men".
I said "no i don't. Are you?"
Him "Yes i am married. It would still be nice to go for a drink".
What a ******* ******!
Thank god it never went as far as going out with him. What kind of a person does that? He definately pursued me.0 -

Grrrrr
At least you found out before you went on a date.
Now if you were feeling vindictive - you could still try to find and friend him on facebook, and then leave a post to say, sorry I don't think its right to go out one on one drinking with married men - leave it for wife to find and the de-friend him!A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I'm so angry. I feel like i've just fed his ego by ringing him.0
