i have sent 2 email about the gas first i was told they are waiting for my old supplier to supply reading.
and today i got a reply via email which states i quote " This process can take up to a maximum of 323 working days, unfortunately we are unable to speed this process it is Industry timescales."

Classic EDF incompetence!
Surprised they haven't said it's not worth switching, as they're unlikely to be able to get your account in place until after the end of the 2014 contract.
Took them just over a month to reply to one email I sent them, despite the auto-responder saying up to 10 working days. So, if 10 working days = 1 calendar month, 323 is getting on for 3 years. Don't forget to allow for bank holidays...:rotfl:

I have amazing news to report about EDF! A meter reader turned up on Tuesday lunchtime. Read both meters. This morning I received a first bill notification by email, accessed it via My Account.
Much to my surprise it is all correct.
What on earth can be going on?
The downside is that they want to hike my DD by £9, despite being in credit by £140...

I have a problem seeing any PDF's relating to my online account with EDF.

I thought it may be that I didn't have the latest version of Adobe, so spent ages last night installing the latest one, but I still cannot see the prices in my account section, or messages from them (there is one). When I click the relevant links all ll I get is a blank white page.

Does anyone else have this problem? Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks.

You can't view the bills directly in My Account. When you click the 'View My Bill' link it downloads the bill as a PDF. You then open that using Adobe Reader (not 'Adobe').
Have you looked in your downloads folder?
Or do a search for a file called 'archive'.
You may need to right click and use 'Open with' to get it to open, as there is no visible file extension. Then just rename it as EDFbill.pdf or whatever.

Nope, works fine.
Can you normally open PDFs (from your internet browser) on your computer OK?
Try clicking here as a test (it's a harmless council meeting document): http://www.harrow.gov.uk/www2/documents/g60759/Agenda%20frontsheet,%20Tuesday%2020-Sep-2011%2019.30,%20Traffic%20and%20Road%20Safety%20Advisory%20Panel.pdf?T=0

Yes I can open other PDF's without any problem at all and did open the one you posted.

Just cannot understand why on the EDF site when I go into my account details and click on price list I just get a blank page and also on the messages section.

Thanks anyway.

Have you tried what I suggested?
If the file extension is missing then your OS will not know what program to open it with.

Why would the file extension be missing, I downloaded latest Adobe last night.

I have just tried, but it still won't open:mad:

When I right click it says "open in new tab" and "open in new window" and I have tried both, but no success.

It is so annoying.

You keep saying 'Adobe'. Are you referring to Adobe Reader? Adobe is a company, not a programme.
It's the file that you need to right click, not the programme. Have you located the 'archive file' by doing a search or looking in your Downloads folder as already suggested?

Sorry, I am talking about Adobe Reader - that is what I downloaded, think it was version 10.11, whereas I previously had version 7.0, so thought this might be the problem.

As I said, no problems with opening other PDF's.

OK, so the problem is the file, not the program. Can't really help you if you don't answer the question about the file. You can't open the file unless you can locate it. Whe you have located it, post the filename.
