I need some help from someone, I need to buy 8x First Class returns (First Open) and they have to cost OVER £62, they also need to be on virgin routes/valid on virgin trains as I am looking at joining the Virgin Traveller scheme to get free weekend first class tickets. What is going to be the best route to take from sheffield, chesterfield or Doncaster that will be as near to £62 as possible. (But Over)
More Info HERE
Is anyone actually a member and is it worth it???
Thanks

More difficut than it sounds
Chesterfield to Tamworth at £68 is the best I can do easily.0 -
not a ticket split, but I was looking for manchester to newquay but the cheapest were £36, single. Therefore I went to Manchester Airport and got two return tickets for £110. was better all round as oh has a back back and 7hours on the train would not have really been an option, one hour on a plane is much better! The sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0

Tiverton parkway to London
You can often make savings by getting a Virgin train to Taunton, and FGW from Taunton to London.
In particular I saved about £100 by travelling on the 1803 to Taunton from Paddington, where there were cheap singles available, but not on to Tiverton.
The journey is slightly longer, but not much.0 -
Hey, i'm just new to here and was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap way of getting from Inverness to London as the tickets i'm getting offered on GNER's website are over £100. I don't need to go until the end of July and i normally fly which is why i don't know anything about train prices etc..
I'd be grateful for any help given thanks0 -

I picked random dates at the end of July and came up with fares of £26.25 each way - ie £52.50 return
Also check the Caledonian Sleeper "bargain berths" from Firstscotrail
I'd also check flying from Inverness as I see fares as low as £35 one way at the end of July0
