Hi all
Well have to admit to feeling a bit fed up with myself, why is it always like an emotional roller coaster
Told this week that the company I work for has lost a contract so i'm losing 16 hours work a month about £100
They were very nice and did offer me an alternative, but it was too far away sadly. I keep telling myself that when one door closes another one usually opens so hopefully they will get another contract locally.
Also i'm feeling out of control again, hubby had a week off and of course I was so keen to get under £20k I hadn't considered that would require extra money. A couple of days out and buying some diy stuff and we are £210 overdrawn and no pay now until the 25th  He also bought a new lawnmower which had to go on the cleared cc. I have ordered some kids cothes from next & M&S and DD a new bed and bedding for her birthday, just looked online and my balance is alot more than I thought it would be
Will go through it all and take as much back as I can on the weekend
Ashamed to say this is going to take a couple of months to sort out
Have enough in business account to pay off mower so thats one thing sorted at least.
Just can't spend a thing now until payday....5 days and counting!

Well i've not updated since April
Have to admit the debt is about the same, but still under £20k thankfully. I finally faced facts that I have been suffering from depression for a good few months now, I've been making excuses that it was different things like the debt, losing some work hours, giving up my PT job, being broody etc, etc, but I realised these were just symtoms and there was more to it. I went to the docs and i've got to have tests, but it looks like I have thyroid problems, its a bit of a relief to know that I can get it sorted and start to feel better.
It was also a wake up call, when things are going well I don't tend to worry about the debt that much, after being to the docs though I realised how quickly things could change, if I had to have time off I wouldn't get paid things wouldn't be as comfortable.
Hubby has still not sorted out his pay rise  think he needs a bit more nagging. I'm losing my hours the end of the month, but its winding down now really. Business is slow, but i'm not in the right place to treat people at the moment so not too worried.
I have made a good effort in making new friends though and have met some other lovely mums :T
Will post my figures properly next week0 -
Hi Zippy,
How are you hon? I've just found your diary. Sorry to hear you've been feeling down - you're always so upbeat and positive for everyone else on here it's nice to be able to return the favour!
If you are suffering from thyroid problems that will make you feel really, really down...even when you do get the appropriate treatment it can take a good few months to start feeling better, so remember to take it easy and be good to yourself.
Sending you a big ((((hug)))) and I'll speak to you soon.

Hi Midnight :hello:
Its not like us to meet in the afternoon is it
Hubby is glued to the grand prix. I should be ironing really, but here is much more interesting.
Thanks for the hug, I've been putting a brave face on for so long, i've put on so much weight and feel exhausted all the time, but the mood swings are the worst. I really should have gone to the docs sooner. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel though, dissapointed to find the weight doesn't just drop off though and it has to be diet and excercise, I was hoping to wake up a size 10 :rotfl:
Hope your ok and works a little easier

I know exactly what you mean about it being so much more interesting here that in the "real" world. My hubby is in the jungle he so optimistcally calls a garden, DS and his partner and 5 month old daughter are here for the weekend and watching a DVD - DD is still in bed having being clubbing till the wee small hours of the morning - the dog is mooching around huffing and puffing because he's not had a walk yet - and I'm here in my own wee world (so much nicer here, don't you think?)

I also know what you mean about the weight...I've put on nearly two stones over the last year...mainly down to depression and a "what the hell" attitude. But it gets you down, doesn't it? Especially when you're on a budget and just can't afford all the fancy diet foods. Would it help if we tried to lose weight together? It might be good for us if we had each other for moral support (we could always have midnights binges when things are not going according to plan
) Not so sure about the excercise tho, DS's partner bought me a fitness DVD - I was exhausted just trying to get it out of the cellophane wrapper - had to go and have a lie down to recover :rotfl: (I did watch it albeit from the comfort of my armchair - all that jumping around and flinging yourself about the place surely can't be good for you, can it?

Hiya Zippy
Sorry to hear about the thyroid plan. I was diagnosed with the same thing about 5 years ago and it's really made a difference. I have energy now which I never did before and on the money saving side you get all your prescriptions free not just the ones for thyroxin. I must have missed your post about going under £20K so well done for that. Hope you improve quickly xxxJanuary budget

Thanks Verbatim, you are doing so well, I love looking out for your signature.
LJD i'm amazed how many people have problems with their thyroid, glad to hear the tablets have made a difference
I should have had my tests today, but got up and automatically made a cuppa  Turned out I should have fasted last night too, so have to go back next monday. I'm really not good in the mornings :rotfl:
Midnight I would love a weight loss buddy, just give me a few weeks to get myself sorted. Do you pick when you are on here late too?
Don't worry about the exercise dvd, I think just watching them counts
