Well done storm and it was on my diaryStorm wrote:Ooo, just managed my 500th post!
Thats a good idea storm, hadn't thought of that, alot of it is clothes she or her sister has grown out of. I might say if she car boots them with a mate she can have the money towards summer clothes, We can drop them off and help them set up and leave them too it.0 -
Hope you're feeling a bit happier now Zippy. I know what you mean about feeling you'll be here in years to come. Sometimes it seems however much you do the debt just isn't going down. Have you made any inroads into starting up the allergy testing yet? I'll ask you every day until you have! Take care and drink plenty of tea!January budget

Yes LJD1 permission to nag me to death please!
Well offered the clothes to my DD to sell and she can't be bothered, really annoyed with her, theres quicksilver, roxy stuff all good makes as I gave the cheaper stuff to the chairity shop. If she can't be bothered then why should I just hand money over to her! Think her summer wardrobe is going to be sparse until she changes her attitude.
On the ebay front I have just had two emails asking if I will end it early asked them both to make me an offer one has said £280 and waiting to hear back from the other one, it has 33 watchers at the moment, but you never know with ebay do you, none of them may bid or I may get alot more than expected.
I've done nothing today
I'm going to run around with the hoover now so I looks like I have been busy

Hectic but having a good day today
Hubby has been offered the job, but looks like he will have to turn it down as they say it was advertised incorrectly and the money is even worse than expected plus theres heck of alot more work involved and it would be very stressful to get the department sorted. At least where he now he gets paid a decent amount for the stress so theres no benefit leaving really. He's waiting to see if they come back with a better offer, but think even if they do he will turn it down. I can't say i'm not relieved, we had a chat last night and unless hes happy with what they say today he will stick the job out until we clear this debt.
Sold the ebay item £320 so thats being collected tomorrow
Hubby has a bonus the end of the month, he thinks its £1500 before tax, we have never had a bonus before so its really fab and should make a nice dent in the debt.
A new customer this morning told me she had mentioned me to her chiropodist and she wants to meet me as lots of her customers ask for reflexology :j I presume she is thinking of me renting a room off her or me working from there and she takes a cut, either way its a great opportunity and will be extra money in the pot if I can fit it in.
Happy debt busting everyone :T0 -
That's great news about the chriopodist and maybe getting more work. Well done! Sorry the job for your hubby wasn't what you expected but at least he might stay in his old job and pay off the debt quicker. Also, with you getting the allergy testing up and running you'll pay it off even quicker. Sorry, forgot to ask how the allergy testing was going!

Sounds like you're having a good month - yeahhhhhh!January budget

It's a pity about your OH's job, but it sounds as though a few really positive things are happening, and you sound a lot more cheerful!
Happy, lucky vibes coming your way lol! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Well hubby has offically turned down job as they couldn't offer any extra money.
Kids back in school tomorrow, business dead this week, but I've paid a fortune for an advert to go in the paper for the middle of March so hopefully that will pick things up.
I've used the ebay money to pay off one cc thats clear now, i'm going to be brave and cancel it next month. OH's bonus is now coming end of March, more than we thought, so that should pay off my other cc. Called loan company to get a balance, what a performance! anyway its a bit more than I thought at £18300 and OH's CC at £2500 will also be left to pay. Have to pay a huge dentist bill Wednesday as we can only go private here think it will be £150-£200 so thats going to put us back a bit this month.
I have to admit that i'm itching to get our bedroom sorted the carpet we inherited from previous owners and its red and horrible and doesn't match our bedding and we have manky sliding wardrobes, I have put up with it for 3 years so a bit longer is not going to make a difference. I know its because he turned down this job so I feel more secure again, i'm telling myself another month on our DFD is not going to make any difference. Typing it has made me realise how silly it is, no one else even sees our bedroom and they will still be selling carpets and wardrobes next year won't they. Slap me someone please

Slap...sorry hope that wasn't too hard! I know how you feel about wanting to replace things. Sometimes I just think what's another few months at the end of paying of the debt if I buy something now but i'm trying to stop that! Good luck with your ad. xxJanuary budget

Are you still busy LJD?
It gets me down this busy some weeks dead the next, I should be grateful really as with the kids off and my boss has been on holidays I didn't kill myself in work last week, I have a couple of customers after lunch so will go up to work later to get myself straight before my boss checks up on me tomorrow.
And thank you for the slap
Luckily hubby wasn't having any of my nagging yesterday he's agreed to paint it and thats my lot, but at least it will cheer it up.
My goals for the month
BIG goal Aim to get debt under £20k by the end of March
Going to do this through overpayments paid today so this month
£110 off OH's CC
£160 off my CC
+ use £400 savings off my CC
Food shopping still my danger area to food allowance for this month £280
Decided not to go straight in with the allergy testing, but build up my confidence and start with hayfever treatments, I have to buy an extra bit of kit, but there is enough in business account for this.
Haven't heard back from chiropodist, but I have been to have a look where she is so if not heard anything in a week will give her a call.
Also found out I should be able to go full time before xmas, long way off, but it will mean an extra £250 a month. If business is busy I might not bother, but at least the option is there.
Think thats enough for now!0
